I'm sorry but i don't know how to record mixes from a mixer. Do you just connect a PC/labtop to the output or is there another way?

on the back of your mixer, there should be a recording out slot, simply plug your phono leads in here, and the other end of the lea connects into line-in at th back of your pc, you will also need some software...sony soundforge, cool edit pro, magic audio editor etc.

If only they were 80mins long. The recording do my Sony MD Deck is so much higher quality then to my PC, even if it is the ATRAC 138kbps or whatever it is. I always use the MD when I am testing a mix.

You only have to connect your main-out from your mixer (maybe with a special) cabel to bring it into your soundcard, and then record it with any programm.

Thats it !

you can connect your recorder e.g laptop or PC/tape deck to the "booth in" input for monitors if your mixer has separate volume control for that, its a great way to regulate the recording volume from your mixer, and like DjSpeedy said any software to record- i use Numark Alesis' Audactiy

What I'm personally doing is connect a digital coaxial cable from my DJM-800 to my PC sound card (Auzentech Prelude) so the signal is digital the whole way (24 bit I believe) and the recording sound quality is a lot better.

Than you're doing something wrong on your PC... becoze unless you have a really, really crappy soundcard, the PC will beat the quality of the MD handsdown...
