I was wondering if there was a function in Ableton which allows you to fade in and fade out tracks. I'm currently practising with Ableton and already made one mix which was broadcasted on several internet radio-stations. But the thing is, every track comes in at full volume. So I was wondering if there is an option to slowly make the next track come into the mix and let the previous track slowly fade out.

Well I only use Ableton for production, but it is very easy.
1. Make sure you are in Arrangement view
2. Go to the MIXER of the track you want to fade in

3. Select Mixer in the Device Chooser box, and in the Control Chooser box select Track Volume.

4. Select the pencil tool and mark the points of where to want the track to fade from.

5. Deselect the pencil tool to make the fade in a lot cleaner, by moving the points around. And that's about it, I'm sure there's a way to do it cleanly, but I'm not too sure. Enjoy Tim :)

Oh and to fade out, you do exactly the same thing :D (but reverse the fade obviously)

I prefer to drag the EQ Tree plugin into the channel, and play with those volumes, so its smoother than just a full fade-in / fade out thing.
And it works the same way, by dragging the EQ Tree plugin, you have on the channels option list, that plugin (just like the mixer option) and then you can select mid low hi... and edit them as above
Also, there's no need to go in and out from draw view, by just double-clicking in the line, you create a dot, so then you can move it ; its easier :P

aahh that's how you do it :) Thanks serum, I was wondering how to create a point without drawing.
No probs Tim, I've really been getting into Ableton lately, and I love it, an awesome DAW.
