I'm a big fan of art, mainly of impressionists, so, if there are any other arts fans, post your most favourite drawings here.
Here's some of mine:
Van Gogh:

You made this????:lub: :lub: :icon_thumright:
When I created the topic I meant favourite art by other atists, but now that you've posted this I have to say it's remarkable and beautiful.
What did you use, aquarelle, tempera?
Holly, you're VERY talented!

It was the first time I heard of Joe Sorren, I just took at look at some more of his paintings.
Though I'm more of a traditional arts lover, I find his paintings very original, creative and unique in the way of portraying humans, thanks a lot for posting!
Here's some of my favourite Salvador Dali' paintings:

Nice thread, thanks for that. I'm also fond of art very much.
Though my favourites are Picasso ("The girls would turn the colour of a juicy avocado when he would drive down their streets in his El Dorado") and Spilliaert, Impressionists don't leave me unmoved.
Here's Cezanne - one of my favourite paintings "Young Man with a Skull". :blink1:

:) I'm glad you like the thread, and more glad you're a fan of art like myself too.
Yeah, of course, how could I forget Paul Cezanne, I also have a personal favourite among his works, but managed to only find it in a very small size :(

Hm...Picasso...I've got some controvercial feelings about his work. I do admire him like an artist, but I don't think I'll put some of his drawings in my home for example, just a question of personal choice and preference.
Anyway, I'm very curious to see which ones are your favourite drawings by Picasso?
Btw, to be completely honest, this was the first time I'm seing this drawing by Cezanne, and have to admit I find it very interesting, thanks for posting!

I've only visited the National Arts Gallery of Canada in Ottawa 2 yeasr ago when I went to Da Vinci's orignal exposition which was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience...

I am also a great fan of the impressionist painters. You'd probably find the best collection of impressionist paintings at Musee D'Orsay in Paris. If you ever get to Paris, mate ...go and check out the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay...you will not be disappointed...
I dream of going back someday...

Well, Placebo, you proposed a hard task for me. It's difficult to choose the most loved works by Picasso. I tried my best and I'd like to post some of his early works which make me adore Picasso. The most paid for is among them.
Let's suppose it to be my dream (apart from meeting DJ TIESTO) to put any of his works in my home. I printed some of my beloved ones on A3 in enhanced quality simply because I love them.
Here we go:

Not too many people manage to surprise me but you just did.
I expected to see those drawings typicall of Picasso, which I've seen in museums or arts magazines, but you really took me aback with those you posted.
I totally love the first 2, can't believe this is Picasso, so not like the other paintings by him which I've seen, and I like these 2 so much more (especially the first one)-great tehcnique and amazing expression.
Here's some of Da Vinci's work, it reminds me of my trip to Ottawa 2 years ago when I saw the Da Vinci exposition in the gallery there:

http://www.davinci-kinetics.com/images/davinci3.gif
The best thing is that they showed some original sketches done by him.
And my most favourite Van Gogh's drawing, the Sunflowers:

Just saw 'La Calisto' today, and though this it's not my type of preffered drawings, this one is from one of my favourite moments of this opera, so I can't help but like it:
Endymion and Diana from 'La Calisto':
