if trance parties were more available here in egypt it sure would be awesome to attend one :)
most of the radioshows are crappy but there are some good ones like FSOE and tytanium sessions (depends on your taste)
i'm not a big fan of compilations cuz i like listening to tracks from the very 1st bassdrum (but again depends on you)

Most of the times I listen to the full tunes, just because it's nice to hear the full progression of a track :)

Me too! I'm not Djing that often because I prefer to play live, but I always buy the full versions of trance tracks. Somehow I do not like compilations that much because they do not contain the whole piece of art :yes_new:
PS: I also listen to compilations, don't get me wrong, but I'll buy the tracks featured on it that I like the most to get the full one.

Liveset for sure as I want to have the feeling of being the crowd. Doesn't make lots difference of being there or at home. Crowdnoise during a liveset is welcome always :)
I listen to lots of mixed artist compilations aswell, especially the classic compilations from Tiësto/Black Hole, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten.
Not preferring radioshows because they are usually just a gathering of the tunes that get released the week after the show. Missing the atmosphere in there.

This isn't multiple choice.... hmm
Either from Beatport new releases, ASOT or my friends linking me stuff!

Sometimes I don't like full tracks because tracks used in radio shows sounds better. Apart from that, I always listen only 3-4 minutes of all tracks, so I often listen tracks ripped from radio shows.

I actually only listen to full tunes.
But sometimes there is this new amazing track featured on for example ASOT and then I can listen to that one via YouTube.
The best example is Kim Svärd - Manne's Song.
The release of that one took so freaking long that I had to listen to it on Youtube to stay alive.
thank you all for your answers!
it surprises me that many of you mainly listen to full tracks. I thought mixes and radio shows would be the popular answers, because of the long intro's and outro's that are made into a track especially to mix two tracks.
Personally the best part endures 4 minutes in a regular track, the first two minutes are often only just a slow build up and the last 2 minutes the instruments of the track fade away one by one. I think that's very boring..

1) You can skip 'em if necessary
2) That's something you need to learn to listen to
3) A Good tune is interesting to listen from the very first beat to the very last (mediocre tunes aren't)
4) Without a buildup, the climax is less powerfull. If you only listen to the climax and the very part before it then trance indeed becomes boring.

- Unmixed/full releases for me! And ofcourse when something isn't released yet i'm stuck with a liveset or youtube sample.

Voted for radioshows, because in the past there were a lot of great radioshows with amazing fresh tunes. Nowadays.. Ekhm, little bit worse

Full tunes. But as Soraj said, there are some tracks that sound better from a radio show probably because of the compression (I'm not quite sure what Armin/Above & Beyond/Aly & Fila etc. do to the final mix).

Most likely some subtle bus compression which enhances the sound slightly.

Full releases. I like to hear the track from start to finish. Just like the Artist intended. Radio shows are good for hearing upcoming releases or tracks that may have slipped by.
