It`s gone and happened again!!!!!!!!!

Yep, once again my PC has been hacked by some prick and I`ve lost "Everything". Progs, music, pics and even the first three minutes of my very first real shot at a track which was coming on VERY VERY well.

If anyone knows of any data recovery programs, then please PM them to me!!!

Next time don't use Internet Explorer ever. This really sucks.
Use Firefox !!

i know you're situation... already happend like 3 tiems to in like 8 years.
the tihng i do is making backup dvd's every month. also cause somethimes my hd's are breaking down etc

And what do you mean that you've lost everything, in what way?

Did you reinstall windows yourelf, did someone manualy delete all the files?!

All it takes is a decent virusscanner, one that is uptodate.
Regular windows updates, and if needed a firewall.

Oh yha! and try surfing with a more secure browser, like firefox! that makes a huge difference compared to Internet Explorer.

but, sorry to hear you've lost everything :(
its good to make backups of things! a dvd burner doesn't cost that much these days, take some empty dvd's and put everything on it

I`ve lost everything because I had to restore my pc back to factory settings.
When my pc restarted after automatic updates all of my desktop items had dissappeared and there was just my background on display. No start menu or anything!
I now use firefox and it is much much better, and I have also regainged most of my files and better music software, thanks to you lot.
