I voted other , which stands for the man who has a special place in my heart , Andy Moor , his productions are the best and i am totaly in love with his tracks , love his Tilt productions , love his Whiteroom productions along with another big man , Adam White , and his productions with Leama , as in Leama & Moor tracks.
He is sorta capable to take me in some other dimension of life , of trance , that i cant define , and none other producer can do the same to me .

For me the best producer ever (so far) is Tiesto! Two great artist albums, Parade Of The Athletes album and many compilations which include his productions. And His great remixes (especialy vocals tunes)! Tiesto's stuff is just great!
From younger producer I think the best are: John O'Callaghan and Paul Moelands (Re:Locate, Octagen).

i chose paul van dyk for the pure fact that through the years dating back to 94 when he released his 45RPM Cd I enjoyed the simplicity of his track such as "Magical Moment" or of course "For and Angel" which is in my top 5 for best songs all time. Trhough the years he has steadily gotten more complex with his tracks but stil doesnt "clutter" some tracks with too much production like some artists have been known to do, thats one thing i like about tiesto is his songs have a clean sound to them, meaning you can hear all the different parts of the song and nothing gets mashed together and pushed to the back, from the high hats to smooth bass lines...its all great


i also chose pvd cause his TPOS series are sick....but then again the Magik series are sick as well...ahaa

From the list, Above & Beyond, but I can't really pick any one producer. There are so many producers (and not just trance producers) whose works I like, that it's hard to single any one out as favourite. That's why I chose "other".

Some of my favourite producers are Vibrasphere, ATB, Schiller, The Future Sound of London, David West, and Andy Moor, just to name a few.

but who can tell me really what is the difference between a DJ and a Producer?
i could be wrong but right now I tihnk a DJ is someone at a club who plays the music, live. Whereas a producer is someone who can sit in a studio with all the epuiptment in the world and take as much time as they want to create their music. SO altough someone may be a great producer (when thay have the time to create music) they may not be a very good DJ (cause they are not good at playing a good live set).

Am i generally rite? if not, who can enlighten me???

since trance is soo widely recognised and countless djs/producers in trance which have their own unique style of trance there shouldn't be a vote to which one is better than the other.

everyone deserved to be voted, since they have put their hard work and soul into to producing their album/song(s).
