I have often pondered the choice of which would be worse, losing your vision or your hearing. And though I love the sight of a beautiful woman, it would be more difficult to live without the sound of music. So, I would rather lose my vision, and keep my hearing. I do not know how I would cope if I lost my hearing:icon_cry: .

What I'd do? I'd rather have sight than hearing, but it would suck indeed. If I had no ears I'd go for transplants ofcourse, if that's possible. And if not, I'd just live on without music. I can live on love to, so I wouldn't keep whining about it ;)

But I'd rather see a nice girl than hear her, because I would always be able to read lips or something. I don't know if you have ever really been on the phone with someone for a long time, but at some point you just want to see the expression on someones face, you just want to see if someone's happy, or angry, or looks at you with some completely in-love eyes:icon_smile:. Besides, it doesn't really matter for someone else if you can't here him/her, the only problem would be that he/she would need to look you in the eyes, but that's not always a problem ;)

But that's just my opinion.

well, if i was born deaf, then i guess i would just go on with life, but if i lost my hearing....now that's a different story, lol. but i agree with pacha, i'd rather lose my hearing than to lose my vision.

heh... I actually disagree. I'd rather lose my vision than lose my hearing. I mean, I can stand having my eyes closed, I can tell where people are in a room by listening carefully. Makes it hard to sneak up on me :D. As far as expressions on people's faces, I'd say tone of voice is more important to me. Reading is probably what I'd miss the most if I was blind.

On the other hand if I was deaf, I'd lose music, I'd lose anything I'm not looking at. I mean, silence really grates me and creeps me out. Plus without ears I'd look pretty weird.

I'd learn to read lips. Seems more practical than sign language. Plus, I've already learned how to talk, so I won't sound completely weird.

It makes me wonder though. Without my glasses/contacts I can pretty much only see coloured very very blurry blobs. What happened to all those people born as myopic as I am back before glasses were invented...

HA! I watched a funny comedy movie about this very thing a while back called "It's All Gone Pete Tong." A dark comedy/documentry about the #1 Dj going deaf then begins to trainwreck his sets.. sooo funny!! Got alot of guest Djs in it like Tiesto etc. The main character reminds me of DJ Keoki when he was in his prime. A must see for lovers of dance and just funny as hell! Rock had the movie Spinal Tap to parendy all the little funny things about the rock seen and "It's all Gone Pete Tong" is dance music's parodey of Djs.

if i had no ears by nature or like freak accident? if it was by nature i think the body would have developed another form of hearing to adapt, otherwise if it were a freak incident of loosing hearing, it'd be rough.. i'd have to communicate more by writing and replay the songs I already know over and over again in my mind to hear them.
