Media Players

My favorite media player (and the one I use) is FOOBAR2000

http://www.free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Alternative_download.htm- No need to download and install "QuickTime", use this instead. Much smaller application.

Slim down hacked version of old Media Player. Has pretty much all codecs - can play anything.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ VideoLan is a perfect DVD/Divx media player. Much like PowerDVD.

http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/jetaudio/ -Play most all types of media files with internet broadcasting and a nice alarm clock.



Cd Burning
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.htm-Just like it sounds, burning program for Windows. Free

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm- Small program to burn images of CD's. Once installed, right click an .ISO's or a ROM drive and "create CD image".

http://www.deepburner.com/?r=download- A full featured Burning app for CD's, DVD's and ISO's. Much like Nero only totally ~~Free

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexos/- A free tool allows you to Rip you CD's into MP3's.

Codecs:
Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/): Audio/sound mixer, that is of course FREE.
MP3DirectCut (http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html): Fast and extensive audio editor and recorder for compressed mp3. No need to recompress.
SLD codec pack (http://www.codec-download.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=16): All Dvix, Xvid etc. codecs combined in one install. Great for using Windows Media Player for these file types.
K-Lite (http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm): KL is a large "all-in-one" codec pack.
Bink Rad Video (http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm): Perfect tool to rip movie's into an executable player. End-users don't need special codecs to use.
VCDgear (http://www.vcdgear.com/): Designed to extract MPEG streams from CD images, convert VCD files to MPEG, correct MPEG errors and more.
StaxRip (http://www.planetdvb.net/staxrip/): Easily convert your DVD's, DVB or DV captures or almost any other source format.
Dr. Divx 2.0 (http://expandinglimits.com/drdivx/node/7): Unofficially the Official DivX encoding tool to create DivX media files for playback on DivX hardware and software players.
MediaCoder (http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/download.htm): Audio/video batch transcoder. Capable of transcoding among different audio/video formats with many extras.
EphPod (http://www.ephpod.com/): Manage your iPod music and more. Drag and drop music back and forth.


Video Editing/Ripping

DAZ|Studio: (http://www.daz3d.com/program/studio/1_0index.php)3D figure posing and animation software package. Think Nvidia "Dawn" creation. (like).
ABC VideoRoll (http://www.freewarefiles.com/programs.php?categoryid=6&subcategoryid=74&ProgramID=453): Easy to use, free video editing. Company no longer exists and some experience bugs with it. Seems ok.
WAX (http://www.debugmode.com/wax/): High performance and flexible video compositing and special effects software. Look at there other free software too!
VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/index): Great for capturing and editing your .AVI movies and converting to Divx. Many more features.
ZS4 (http://www.zs4.net/news-zs4-video-editing-software-release-0956): Combine a variety of media types (currently photos, videos and audio files) into one (or more) output file(s).
Movica (http://vani.bhargav.googlepages.com/movica): a graphical user interface to edit .mpg and .wmv.
Doom9 (http://www.doom9.org/) and Videohelp (http://www.videohelp.com/): Both are great sites to get any other software/help you may need for video encoding.

This is so messed up! Are this programs full or ... ? Are they tested or you just copy/paste them from some forum ? Are these new versions ? :tuktuk:

I use f00bar too, but just the bare minimum, I could care less about editing the visual aspects, and designs of the wavelengths. Thanks anyways.
