hi guys i finally got my xboard 61 for the weekend :)
i connected to fruity loops and managed to play around with knobs
the problem that i seem to have is that at the time i play a note, there seems to be a lag until my note is heard(possibly very low but still distractful)

anybody knows a solution to this or possibly wheter this is a fruity issue/

thanks in advance

thats to do with your sound card - some cards have low latency (<10ms) others much higher (like 100ms = big delay)

your current sound card is high latency
built in sound cards usually are high latency

low latency cards i've used are m-audio series and creative x-fi music
both have latencies less than 5ms and are good for live playing

also check you have selected the correct driver in FL - sometimes there is a choice of drivers for the same card and ASIO is always the best (e.g. with my current x-fi card, if i dont use the ASIO driver option, i get high latency)

any questions, please ask - i have hit this problem before :-)

you need a 24 bit sound card...these ones have usually veery low latency

check M-Audio products

they start around 120 euros a piece

also latansy problem can be effected by usb 1 2 or firewire, firewire interface have the lowest latancy, and usb 2 not bad either. also wires too rca wire are not as good as 1/4 balaced wires well heres a little note hope it helps

it could be two things, most likely your sound card which has been described above, but it could also be due to your audio driver and that's easily fixed on the internet

just go get an external sound card (i recommend Mbox 2) and you will have no latency at all

Look at the audio settings, buffer lenght slide to less samples
