Effects Units

Hey I am currently looking into effects Units. A Few I have seen that seem interesting is the Korg Kaos Pad and the Pioneer EFX series. I have used the EFX 500 briefly. Can anyone compare it to the the 1000 series? It looks like the same unit with some more effects but the same interface. Also has anyone used the Kaos Pad? I would like some feedback on the unit, and do you know the differences between the V2 and V3 of the unit? Thanks.

i don't know much about the efx1000 but i think its just the same as the efx500 with more capabilities. i think all the effects and whatnot are the same. check this link out.
