Ok i will trey to make this as short as i can. I am in love with trance and i want to dj. I am a computer nerd and learn things very quick. I have used a few cheap low end turn table set from numark that my mates have had. I have also downloaded and played with almost every dj computer program made. the tables I was totaly in love but dont have 1000+ do buy some. The computer programs i would opent hem up and just look at all the stuff and not know where to start. After playing around for a while i would have something that was totaly crap. I just got some tutorials but i thought hey before i do the same thing as always i would seek the advice from all the great DJ's and mixers that are on here. any advice would be great! I have a few computer (laptops, desktops, mac/windows/ and linux) any questions for me fire away as i would be happy to answer! Thanks ahead for the help and i hope to soon be on my way to hours of time mixing!!!

Edit: P.s i know that when i do get tables it seems that CDJ-200 would be great. Also i dont have many cd's but over 50 gb of music, All my trance cds got stolen out of my car.:crybaby2:

Hmm... Ill give you some options to consider...
First of all... CDJ-200 reads mp3 format... so burn some cds!
If playing with Laptop (even that I'm a computer dude too... I'd prefer turntables) is one option for you... try out Ableton for example... here in TranceFix there are tutorials of how to use it...
If you like turntables (as Im a Turntable guy... addicted for vynils... I luv them) go ahead but they are expensive... But you can use them with Final Scratch for example and once again you save some money cause u can use the tracks u already own...
CDJ... Well as I luv vynils... my pair of CDJ are Technics SL-DZ1200 so I can feel closer of playing with turntables...
Well about prices... you have to see the cost/benefit relation... When I started I had no money too... I was in worst situation than u cause even PC I didn't have one good one... And in Brazil DJ equipment is really expensive... cause we have too much tax to one product get in here...
So as I had no money... And the situation wasn't in good... But I was focus in become a DJ... So I used to rent the equipment until I had money to buy my own... My first equipment was really basic... the only thing that really was "great" in my equip was the headphone (Aways used Technics Headphone and I don't regrat) I used to use one pair of CDJ-100s with one Behinger VMX-300 Mixer and a Technics RP-DJ 1200a just to mention the basic setting... Them I finally bought my first pair of TURNTABLES (the best day in my life...) and with the time I was upgrading my equipment until my final setting that I use now...
So I know how it is start with no money... hehe maybe more them u do... But if u really want that... don't give up! and make it happen! :D

And there is one more facility about money... U can buy it on eBay... But buy it carefuly... to don't get scammed... ;)

Cheers!
