In Search of Sunrise (ISOS for short) is the title given to a trance mix-compilation series by Tijs Verwest under his most well known pseudonym DJ Tiesto. The series, currently up to its fifth installment (as of May 2006), has been released by Tiesto on his own Songbird label. There has been word spreading around that there will be a In Search of Sunrise 6, but nothing is confirmed yet. According to posts on DJ Tiesto's forums, In Search of Sunrise 6 is suppose to be released between May and July of 2007, however, the exact date and location of the next installment has not been confirmed. A flyer was released by accident over the summer of 2006 and was soon posted on the Tiesto forums concerning In Search of Sunrise 6.

In Search of Sunrise had it's best time. I don't think he should do anything for ISoS anymore. Another Nyana compilation would be great though. Furthermore, I hope that he never releases another Magik compilation. Those are the best albums ever and should not get any new parts.

The last track on ISOS 5 disc 1 does it for me every time; perfect way to end that CD. Disc 2 doesn't really do a whole lot for me either.
Is Tiesto done with his Magik series? I haven't heard of anything besides #7 so I'm assuming he's done. Be easy on me.

Tiesto - EoL and ISOS 6. Concuring the world with his is something that worth seeing.
Who worked most on the remixes and new stuf? Tijs and than Paul.
To sum up - Tiesto made more than anyone from top 3 but as the man himself sayed - he don't want to be #1 again and i don't want Paul to be #1 three years in a row.
I see one more great Dj but till top three quiet far for him yet

Hi everybody,

as you all know from the announcement two weeks ago, my new mixcompilation In Search Of Sunrise 6 will soon be released. I am very proud to present the CD to you all. I went to Ibiza last June for inspiration after two years of absence and I have to say that the island is still very magical to me. There are so many beautiful, secret spots to discover and the parties at the clubs are still crazy and energetic. So to make sure that I would capture the love and dedication I feel for the island, I just had to go back for the proper inspiration. It's with modesty that I can tell you that now I know for sure that 'ISOS 6' earned it to be called 'Ibiza'!
I mixed the album a couple of weeks ago in the old-fashioned way, which means that I didn't use any programs or computerized gadgets for it. I worked with CD-players for the mix. Most of the tracks are so exclusive that, if I'd still be mixing with records, I wouldn't have been able to get those productions on vinyl!

Let me take you through the tracks;

ISOS 6 - CD 01

01. Es Vedrá - Hacienda
This is a real Balearic intro to put you in the Ibiza mood.

02. Glenn Morrison – Contact
I played this track at the Gelredome during my Tiësto in concert gig and people loved it. I wanted to put this one on this CD as a great memory of that night.

3. Andy Duguid featuring Leah - Don't Belong
A new talent from England from who we will hear a lot more in the future.

4. Solaris Heights – Vice (Sydenham Dub)
Very warm and soulful track that fits very well on the album.

5. Global Experience – Madras
Great producer from Germany who delivers the ultimate Ibiza feeling with this track.

6. Leonid Rudenko - Summerfish (Scandall Sunset On Ibiza Mix)
The title says it all. Such a warm but still energetic track; it makes me happy when I listen to this one.

7. Clear View featuring Jessica - Tell Me
Nice, mysterious house track with sexy vocals.

8. The Veil Kings - Searching For Truth
A beautiful, happy Balearic guitar track.

9. Ohmna - The Sun'll Shine (Sunrise Mix)
Amazing track I received of one of the house godfathers Johan Groenewegen. This DJ/producer gives me only a couple of tracks a year but they are always special and he delivers high quality.

10. Moonbeam - See The Difference Inside (Inside Mix)
Very original vocals and production from Russia.

11. Allure featuring Julie Thompson - Somewhere Inside Of Me
A track we did with Julie Thompson. She does a live performance of the song in our Elements Of Life tour around the globe and it's going down very well!


12. Taxigirl - High Glow
A sparkling track with a beautiful vocal.

13. Reeves featuring Alanah - Lonely
Very warm and emotional production. I get goosebumps whenever I hear it.

14. Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Tiësto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix)
This song won't be released on any other CD ever. We made it especially for this volume of In Search Of Sunrise and it's a perfect track to end the first disc of the mix.

ISOS 6 – CD 02

1. Steve Forte Rio - A New Dawn
A special melody to open a set with, very original.

2. Nic Chagall - What You Need (NC's In Love With Prog Mix)
There are two great mixes of this track but this one is my favorite for the CD.
In a big room or arena I would play the harder mix.

3. Marc Marzenit - Trozitos De Navidad (Primavera Remix)
A typical Tiësto track with great string pads.

4. John Dahlbäck - Don't Speak
A special and mysterious track with a unique and moody sound.

5. Deadmau5 - Arguru
A producer and fresh talent from Canada, we will hear a lot from this guy in the following years.

6. First State featuring Anita Kelsey - Falling
Big tune on the dancefloor. House beats with trance, a perfect combination!

7. Jonas Steur featuring Jennifer Rene - Fall To Pieces
Very nice production of Jonas, it's a big hit at the moment.

8. JES - Imagination (Tiësto Remix)
My remix of one of my favorite singers. Fits perfectly on the album.

9. Tom Cloud - Mercury Room
I am getting a little more trancy and deeper at the end of this CD, starting with this track.

10. Marcus Schössow - Chase My Rabbit
Great track which has everything: it's energetic, melodic and original.

11. Maor Levi - Reflect
A warm track with great vocals. It's been around for a while but definitely worth it to be on ISOS 06.

12. Progression - Different Day, Different Light
The best track of their debut album.


13. Jedidja - Dancing Water
We made this track especially for the water piece in our Elements Of Life show. You can hear the old skool Tiësto trance sound in this track.

14. D'Alt Vila - Breathing
A perfect, beautiful melody to end the compilation with.

When I finally listened to the whole CD, both part one and two in one take, I felt I was in a different zone! I hope you'll feel the same and that you will enjoy this mix.

The Tiesto Remix of Imagination sounds a lot like the Gabriel & Dresden Remix that never was released, heard it from a live set and already lost it, but never forget how it sounded like, so tiesto gives it a Melodic even more Nostalgic but uplifting twist, nice...!!!

Well, have to say that CD1 is good after all. Yesterday, I said that it sucked. But I listened the first cd again today and I must say that it sounds really cool. But the last two tracks are pure crap.

Just listened the first 5 tracks of CD2 and totally don't like it. Maybe the rest of the CD is better than the first 5 tracks, or maybe I simply have to listen to it again.

Just I finished listening ISOS 6 and what can I say .... ISOS 6 It's really really amazing!!!!

It's a great production, great cd mix compilation, magnific tracks selection .... It's a delicious.

I fell in love inmediatly when I listened "Clear View (aka Tiësto) featuring Jessica - Tell Me" This tune is so beautiful .... excelent track!!!!!

The best track of the album is the last one on CD1 in my opinion. I really like these CD's. Not all transitions are as good as they could be (from 2 to 3 on CD1 wasn't great and what TimEl said about the transition to Fall To Pieces is true too, and I didn't like the follow up from song 1 to 2 on CD2) but besides those small things, I love the whole CD from A to Z. It's very good, I love both CD's. Really dreamy, melodic, etc. Buying this for sure.

About of the transitions, some trasitions arent good but others transitions are trully amazing. (for example transition between track 01 and 02 of the first CD ... the technic is excelent)

To be quick and accurate: I like this compilation, but i don't love it. The music on it is mostly very good (2 or 3 tunes were a bit off to me), technically could be a bit better but not really a big deal (i'm used to it i suppose).
Overall i enjoyed both cd's, but i've listened most of it passively (ie. backgroundmusic). Meaning it didn't really impress me.

Not all transitions are as good as they could be (from 2 to 3 on CD1 wasn't great and what TimEl said about the transition to Fall To Pieces is true too, and I didn't like the follow up from song 1 to 2 on CD2) but besides those small things, I love the whole CD from A to Z. It's very good, I love both CD's. Really dreamy, melodic, etc. Buying this for sure.

Guess I will buy it at some point too, just to make my In Search of Sunrise collection complete. Had part 3 the day it came out and recently got/bought part 1 and 2. Will buy 4 and 5 when it becomes a bit cheaper, say 10€. A couple of years later those CD's are quite cheap at FreeRecordshop :lub:

Or should I just not buy part 4, 5 and 6. After all, imo the best parts are 1, 2 and 3.

Intro of CD 1 and Intro/ Outro of CD 2 is perfect for me....
So much tracks there, I think we all cant still judge till this compilation stuck in head... I cant listen 28 (22 new track for me) once and to judge is it good or not... I respect all tunes which get me on one listen.... On this compilation is Steve Forte Rio - A New Dawn, Tom Cloud - Mercury room and Ohmna - The Sun'll Shine (Sunrise Mix)...)

I would have to disagree. The first mix between the first and second song of CD2 or quite noticibly not so great. I could practically tell when each song was coming on. I thought Armin was starting to slack on the mixing but Tiesto is even worse. I used to love Tiesto but now I feel ashamed that I was once a fan. This whole album is just boring w/ a few good songs and poor bedroom dj mixing skills.

Well i see most people say "true" isos were 1,2,3 - to me 4th episode is by far best , and now with 6th out those 2 are defo magik - the story on isos 6 is made with amazing sinergy and i love every part of it especialy CD1 which is masterpiece :)

Haha, that's funny, since I just love ISOS 5 CD2 (except for the last track). Great melodies, relaxing... just like whole ISOS 6 actually :)

I can't really be angry at an artist who wants to deliver top notch quality on a compilation album... Yet I also respect Tiësto's style, and I think he's mixed it very well. But to say one style is better than the other, hmm, no.

Listening to it now. Cd 1 gets very good from the middle to the end. probobly only because I have heard most the songs from the first half so its nothing new to me. very nice vocals though, and well mixed imo. It's tiesto, he still has skill but I don't think He has produced anything better then his Magik Series. He will always be king because of that, I don't think I have heard anything that could even touch his Magik series.

I absolutely love the transit to 12. Taxigirl - High Glow. The moment when the track comes in, it gives me chills everywhere, everytime I listen to it. I´ve listened to both CD´s now and i have to say that it is a better one than ISOS 5. My Favorite Tune of this is Clear View feat. Jessica - Tell Me and however even if there are some great tunes on it, there will never be another ISOS CD that can beat the 2nd of ISOS 4.

I can´t tell u how many times i´ve listened to it ( ISOS 4 - CD 2 ) but i can listen to it every day again and its still amazing. If i compare it with this episode and the previous one, its just not the same feeling, but for me the feeling when hearing ISOS 4 CD 2 and other tracks i love, is just that feeling what makes me love trance.

So finally, i hope one day there will be another isos thats more like the even described one :)

And i' m impressed by the productions and the remixes that tiesto has made and put in this compilation. High glow, dancing water, somewhere inside me are very good tracks (high glow is magik i have to admit :icon_mrgreen:) and his remixes at Jes and Imogen heap's tracks are great too. Well done....
