I put dissapointed but I could still listen to it... I'm really curious sometimes as to how they decide what to put in their CD mixes... I feel as if there are alot of great songs that are just overlooked, like bobina - lighthouse, and frank savio - central state.... I freakin love central state... and nobody puts it in their mixes :|

I honestly don't know what everyone is talking about. I absolutely LOVED this album. I think it's a showcase of his work.

Guys i must say than after listening to it several times i liked it more.
CD1 was a melt of some chilling tunes
CD2 was a melt of darker tracks.

I really liked it, and i think you must really analize the flow cause it runs fine for me.

Well,it is def.not wat I expected but still surprisingly good.
Its a chilled mix,I mean its not the best of all albums ever but I like it:)
Must admit that ive listened to the first cd atleast 7 times since yesterday morning:p

Well this is a second view on the CD's: CD 1 is very relaxed and I like it very much! But I don't think the intro is that great, and the first transition is a bit to slow for me, he could've blended more. The second CD has an increeedible intro (see my overenthusiasm a few posts back ;)) and is very good all-over too, but a few tunes are less good... 3 or 4 or something, they are a bit cheesy IMO. But no big problems.

CD 1 - 9/10
This is the perfect way to start summer 2007! Great beach vibes with amazing vocals. Highlights include: Light The Skies, Carry Me Away, Who Will Find Me, Touch The Sun & Always A Fool. This is pure modern trance as it's best!

CD 2 - 6/10
It starts off well enough with Misere & Rush Hour (Walk Away is an excellent track too) but there are some song with feel out of place in a cd labeled 'Club': Ascent, Evergeen, Firefly, Day Seven... Armin should have included better tracks such as those he selected on radio 538's dance deparment no. 85. Where are:

Ilse Delange - The Great Escape (Armin van Buuren Remix)
Wamdue Project - King Of My Castle (Sander van Doorn Remix)
Marcus Schossow - Mr. White...

It's not bad... it just could have been sooooooooo much better!

hmm First CD was meh, nice cool sounds if you chill at the beach or driving, nothing special that you want to pay attantion to. CD2 cought my attantion little bit more and I'm liking it, I only listened to it once but it made me turn my head few times, def. will give it a closer listen. Overall 7/10

I really like this asot, its different from the previous in the way its slightly deeper and less obvious/in your face. Its in my top ten. :)

So very true. A bit disappointing.

Thats why most EDM albums is dissapointing it takes time to put a album together, getting all the tracks cleared etc. By the time it gets released everyone is pretty much sick of hearing most of those tracks. Albums is more of a collectors item for me, its not really something i'll listen to over and over. About the the album itself Don't care much about Cd1. Cd2 is decent.

I think the tracklist is pretty predictable. The best ASOT is still 2004 in my opinon. Every year since has moved more and more away from "trance".

especially CD1 is brilliant for me - I haven't heard such uplifiting tunes for a very long time, these songs really better my mood.

Well I like the ASOT program, and the Asot compilations too, but I think that other years was better than this year.

I picked the second option, on first listen I was a bit disappointed with it as I had most of the tunes already or heard them previously on the ASOT radio show but after gettin over this fact, on second listen I really enjoyed it. I passed my copy onto to a few of my friends to have a listen too and they taught it was class. As they don't listen to the radio show there was a lot of tunes on the CD they havn't heard before or only heard at live sets so they were well impressed with it.

Unfortunately, ASOT 2007 follows the evolution of ASOT episodes and generally trance nowadays.

Weak tracks, many vocals, radio-pop style.

Listen ASOT 2004 and you'll understand!
