Review: Alpha Duo feat. Fisher - Fight For Love [Future Focus Recordings]

Andrew Newton & Shane Rumney [Alpha Duo] released their first production back in 2010 on Omerta Records and have been picked up by Bonzai , Digital Upgrade and are now signed under Future Focus Recordings in 2012. On the remix job they have the famous Binary Finary on their side to deliver what they do best, and with the help of the beautiful Los Angeles based singer Fisher this release is definitely an eye catcher.

Alpha Duo feat. Fisher - Fight For Love (Original Mix)

Following the traditional path of trance this duo are doing their best to make a strong impact with this first release on Future Focus Recordings. With the huge amount of vocal trance out there it's a bit of a risky job though to get noticed unless you have a good singer on board. This is definitely the case with Fisher. After cooperating with big names like George Acosta , The Thrillseekers and Leon Bolier, it's good to see her name pop up on this debut. The guys definitely know what they are doing, and the vocals are sounding spot on. The break down has a good 'hands in the air' factor and the chorus is sounding wonderful. Even the climax with the oldskool synth lead is doing some proper damage here. Alpha Duo are in my opinion off to a great start on this label!

Alpha Duo feat. Fisher - Fight For Love (Binary Finary Remix)

It has been fifteen years ago since their enormous mega hit "1998" was released. With more than 40 releases of this classic alone, this has been a favorite for many trance fans around the globe. The guys are now geared up again and they made a fresh remix of this track. Where some of you expected to hear oldskool influences , don't be surprised when you actually hear electro-ish sounding bass lines and crispy percussion. The sweet vocals are fitting in this remix as well, but perhaps the biggest surprise is the climax with that catchy but simple melody. A very up-to-date remix from the legends who brought us that instant classic "1998". Always good to see them releasing new material.

Final Words:

The first review on Trancefix for Future Focus Recordings is a fact, and I must say I really enjoyed this debut from Alpha Duo. Al though Binary Finary have created a very nice remix, the original mix gave me that extra energy boost which I so sincerely like. Both mixes will definitely get their attention. and with Sean Tyas and Pedro Del Mar already supporting this I hope more will follow them very soon. Watch out Binary Finary's next release on Future Focus Recordings with Alpha Duo returning the favor this time!
