it surprises me that Armin is 'just'#5, with all his ASOT gigs I would have surely thought he'd come in second!

Not sure how much truth is in this.I remember from Quote Magazine, quite a trustful magazine as far as I know, that Tiesto has 17 million, Armin 14, Ferry 6. Don't think Tiesto asks 500.000 per gig too. That's too much.

Thanks for info but I don't think this list is very accurate. Figures are certainly way too high. For example According to Forbes Tiesto got 23 million on 84th placehttp://www.forbes.com/celebrities/list/Unfortunately he is only one apart from Skrillex that managed to make into list.

A bit inaccurate I'd say. I think there are a couple of missing names in here, particularly the commercial DJs who would definitely earn as much (if nor more) than these guys. Now this is me taking on the name of 'richest DJs' (irrespective of the genre they DJ) from the looks of it, it seems to be revolving mainly under the EDM umbrella. Big doubts on some names in there too, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Cox and Schulz just to name a few. Oh well, still a good effort I'd say. Well done, interesting read.

Lot's of respect to those guys. Even if some of them are accused to play mainstream music, great result to have such amount of money. I can imagine you don't care too much about what others think about you :P

And that's the beauty of it, you can do whatever you want with your music.

Exactly. And I believe that such independency can lead to such producers going more out of the box and go their own way, in long term that is.

Sorry, but that's exactly the amount he takes. A friend of mine works for a big German brewery. They held a club gig, for which they asked DJ's like Tiesto and he told me about the huge amount he wants for a gig. Then they took Armin, because he only wanted 75.000 for three hours. But Armin had really fun this evening, so he played additionally three hours for free. That's why I like him very much, for him it is not only about the money!

I believe it goes up to around 100.000 for the absolute superstars indeed. Like you said, Armin 75.000 for a three-hour show, could be.

      I don't believe 500.000 for Tiesto.

How would you ever make a profit then, if the artist alone costs half a million?
