    Simple And Plain

    Hey people! alright im facing a bit of a problem...i've been at producing for a year or so now, using ableton live and fl with shitloads of plugins...i've reached a point where an intro melody and outro is done and a full track is obtained...HERE comes the problem...the thing is...the track sounds plain simple, very basic, and intro/main/outro.

    My question is what should i add to the track to make it more rich, more complicated. not just a bassline with a couple of percusions and a bit of melody and then an outro identical to the intro...is there any trick any tutorial or any answer to my question?

    Thanks

    There is not really a standard "do-this-and-get-immediate-result" way to do this. Adding effects like delay etc, automatisation, and what not should help you get in the right direction I think ..

    What gave me some good insights was the D. Ramirez video;

    Part 1: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...82989989&hl=en
    Part 2: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...03517574101536
    Part 3: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...20917337119032

    Shows D. Ramirez at work, gives you kind of an idea how tampering with effects etc can get quite a different feel to electronic music! Loving this vid, he makes it seem so easy it's not even funny anymore
