    Politics and the United States

With the presidential elections near everyone here in the states are looking for an escape, a way to restore liberty and hope into our nation. The two leading canditates Obama and Clinton. Now, I want to know what do you think of our candidates? Who do you think could lead this country and restore peace in this world? I feel Obama is the man, an honest man with integretity. Clinton is just another politician pulling off an act to occupy office in washington. I think its time for America to wake up..Obama is the first step to change.

i hope u mean a republican.....their all the same. american elections are rigged, they have been for a while...thats how bush got into power twice, his father helped rigged it so that bush could continue american dominace in iraq for the oil...b/c a democrat wouldnt of done that.

if john mccane wins, america will be in iran in a year or 2 and russia has said that an attack on iran would be an attack on russia, so bad news for the US if they go into iran and with john mccane being so strict and harsh wih his foreign policies and iran, america would go.

i agree as well, id vote for obama he seems more genuine and sincere and honest. i think a democrat will win though, ppl who "really" control the government want a democrat in power so america will take a new direction, thats the feeling i get now.

1st - I still don't understand why should non-americans have a saying in wich should be the next president of the USA. Some might say cause what happens in america directly affects us, but seems just a lame excuse to me.
2nd - Focus on Obama or Clinton all you want, the real winner will be McCain. Why? Obama and Clinton will fight to the death for the democrats nomination, and when the final round comes, McCain will just have to pick up the pieces. Easy tatic.

As long as a democrat wins the investiture to the white house, things won't ge even more downhill.
Because, let's face it, the next president will have to deal with a $100 G deficit, a recession and a bad reputation around the globe.

i i were an american, i'd vote for Obama. he is a man who is capable of changing the face of american politics and making a change in the way how americans treat their "mission to provide freedom for thw hole world"

Just a democrat. I wouldn't know which one. I like Obama's point of view on things more, but that doesn't mean much, looking at the past. I think it might be good for the USA to have a woman leading the country for once. I just think a woman would have better capacities leading this country right now. But I'm not so sure how that's going to work out, since most women in politics tend to act like they're a man after a while. Shame...

    Ergo: not a clue.

Eh I'm not agreeing with the woman we have running now for presidency. I have nothing against a woman become president. I just think we need to start reading between the lines, behind the eyes, where the truth hides behind the lies. The New World Order is here and its time for people to start waking up...Humanity should be evolving instead it seems to be going backwards in its cycle...

I am really torn. Normally I vote republican but I'm not crazy about McCain. But as a physician, both Hillary and Obama are very bad for doctors (and ultimately the patients, because the gov and insurance companies already force the doctor to make decisions based on $ on not what is best for the patient).

All that aside, out of the 2 democrats, I think hands down Hillary is the best. We need someone to be fiesty, just cut the crap and and really get to work fixing things. Obama is too much of a girly man, and puts off too much ivy league snobbiness to win over the working class. Same problem John Kerry had.

For example, say the president of another country had to do business with the United States. If they're going to try to sneak some crap by us, who do you think they'd rather the president be? They'd rather it be Obama cause he's soft, or McCain bc he is so old. But not Hillary, because she is like the hard-ass Mom that doesn't take crap from anybody. Other countries wouldn't try to sneak as much bullsh*t past her.

Our country is seriously needing a radical change, and we all know that men and women's brains work differently. The white house is so screwed up right now I think the only one who could fix it is a woman. Just my $.02

huh... good points everybody but i think the US is screwed no matter who comes into power. Seriously people, the only people that can save the US are the people that are too smart to try going for office and live a much better, stress free life. I really love Canada

I feel the way you approach your decision its based simply on "GIRL POWER" which i find to be very childish. No offense, like I said I have nothing against a woman becoming president. I'm all for equality. Obama is the man that focuses on the PEOPLE of the nation. He sees the nation as ONE. He understands that we are all humans and individuals with hopes and dreams. Have you looked into his history? He reminds my very much of what I'm going tru. Growing up with the bad crowd, trying out drugs to fit in, and then realizing ithat theres more to life. That our will is good if we choose it to be and we can become the change we want to see. What I love about him is that he admits hes human, hes reached the american dream. Hes running for presidency! Now hes trying to return what this nation gave to him. Hillary has proven her capability to lie to her people as well as not trying to step up and admitting that she lied. Instead she plays around with her words making it seem like it wasn't a big deal. We don't need anymore liars in the white house. Do you really want a hard-ass mom that lies to her children? Wake up kids, nap time is over.

Lucky you I don't have any more stress either
but it'll be better for me to stay here and try to make things better rather than runaway for an escape like a coward. I wish to travel to canada someday, the landscape looks beautiful there from what I've seen.
