Ok, Nemezijus was so kind to start a topic about downloadshops for Trance and other EDM genres. But since there are also a lot of CD and vinyl-lovers out there...
CD's
Remember, all these sites are great for both Singles and Albums, so it's not just for casual listeners but also for DJ's who want to play high quality golden oldies in the club!
BANKRUPT www.cdjshop.com Sells a lot of CD's, great for getting your latest releases in hardcopy and the highest quality! Doesn't have a very extensive classics-collection though. Also sells 320 kbps mp3's.
www.discogs.com A lot of independent sellers here! This means there are loads of very hard-to-get classics you can get on discogs. I am quite a classics-lover myself and I notice myself using this site more and more! Good for both CD's and vinyls. No digital downloads I believe.
www.amazon.com or www.amazon.co.uk I think we all know this site, but did you know they also sell a lot of Trance singles? There's a decent amount of old and new CD's and vinyls here. Of course it's not specialised in Trance, but I've found some really nice stuff on there. Buiying digital music from them is not recommended, it's usually low quality.
www.ebay.com and other sites like it, needs no explanation
Nemezijus' list on downloadshops:
Mondo Records - Here you can get the CDs/Vinyls/MP3s [incl. Promos] of the releases under Mondo Label
Black Hole Shop - CDs/DVDs/Vinyls of the releases under the Black Hole Label
Euphonic Shop - CDs/Vinyls of the releases under the Euphonic Label
JunoRecords - CDs/Vinyls/MP3s of various artists.
DeepBlueRecords - CDs/Vinyls of the releases under the Deep Blue Records Label
CDJShop - Lots of CDs [not sure about vinyls at the moment, cause they had some problems with supplier] and MP3's (320 kbps) from various famous trance labels [incl.Promos]
Beatport - digital downloads only. 320 kbps mp3's, mp4 and WAV supported. Pretty expensive due to new tax-rules in the US, but has a very extensive selection!
Audiojelly - digital downloads only. Supports: 192 kbps and 320 kbps mp3's. Has the cheapest mp3's.
JunoDownload - digital downloads + HQ artwork included [not always]. Supports: 192 kbps mp3's, 320 kbps mp3's, FLAC files and WAV files!
TrackItDown - digital downloads only. Cheapest WAVs here! Supports: 192 kbps mp3's, 320 kbps mp3's and WAV.

Last but not least, a list of vinylshops.
I have no extended info on these sites because I never use vinyl, sorry!

I hope this will help you to find your favourite musicDon't forget: you are supporting your favourite artists! If you think producers produce too much and should pay more attention to quality instead, or that they become too "commercial", you can help buying music! That way, they don't have to make loads of music for the masses to make a living, but they have more freedom in what to produce and how much!

Glad you made this a sticky... be sure to add www.Dancerecords.com for vinyls, and digital mp3's.
And yes, I knew about Discogs Alexit's just a pain sometimes because most of the cd's I want are overseas...
"Dance dance in the morning light. Hey hey it's a beautiful day. Dance Dance in the morning light, open your darkened eyes. Hey hey it's a beautiful day, it'll be okay, it'll be okay."

Excellent resource for anyone. Good compilation.

Hello darkness my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again
I don't buy vinyls anymore but used to do so.
I usually picked up records from these places (they are all reliable):
http://www.4djsonly.com
http://www.juno.co.uk
http://www.streetbeat.ac (good if you're from Scandinavia)
http://www.bangingtunes.com
http://www.chemical-records.co.uk
http://www.recess.nl
There is also a very good German store, but I forgot the name.

And... http://www.dance-tunes.com/ !!![]()

dunno if this fits the thread, its for somebody who is searching for midi files:
www.nonstop2k.com

Mostly buying old CDM's from:
Amazon.com [co.uk, de]
Ebay
Marktplaats [Dutch Ebay]
Discogs Marketplace [highly recommend]
Digital Downloads:
Beatport [Minimal/Techno is superb there]
Audiojelly

any other good online stores for buying cd's?

hmm so if we start buying their music does any1 believe that would change things and we ll get back the quality in trance??
Nah. .

It will if you buy only the good stuffOriginally Posted by Sunset girl

Indeed, make a statement by buying what's quality and ignoring the sub-standard releases... hopefully they'll get the message "quality over quantity"--we don't want more tunes, we want better ones.Originally Posted by Darren
