Uninspiring compiled cd imo. Surprised to see this from Above&Beyond though. Thought they only whore Anjunabeats stuff. Something to skip for me.

I agree. A good mix cd should've unreleased (and unheard of course) tunes, not some overplayed stuff.....

I know this silence - been here before…
I’m walking blinded through your door
This is a sense of things to come
    This innocence
    Oh, Oh…

Breath in this moment - its come and gone
Further and faster through your soul

I thought it was just a comp mixed by anyone, although Ferry's discs when he mixed became very popular.

Nearly 50% of the material for this compilation is already released and it holds no interest for me. I do wish more people followed the lead of Solarstone when it comes to compilations

Ferry Corsten's "Trance Nation" compilations were some of the most popular and best selling compilations of the late 1990s. They were released when trance was in its golden period and a lot of it was crossing over into the charts. MOS took one of the best trance djs/producers of the period and he mixed some unforgettable compilations. Since then people have forgotten about trance nation, as after 2002 it became more euro-pop oriented and trance was generally in decline in public opinion. Perhaps MOS are trying to revamp the image of trance and have gone for a similar formula. Above & Beyond and one of the biggest selling trance groups at the moment, lots of people have heard of them, and for the first time in a long time this compilation has an upfront and current tracklist that represents some of the best trance/progressive tunes at the moment. Sure it wont be to everyone's exact taste... but its certainly 1000 times better than any of the recent trance nations. And they've gone back to the original artwork too. Nostalgia trip here we come!

Also tracklist wise... the reason the majority of the stuff is released is probably because not all artists and labels are willing to grant licenses for every different compilation to release their new upcoming tracks.

Trance nation will appeal to people who stopped listening to trance, or similarly appeal to people to listen to other mos stuff. So they wont have heard all these tracks, so it doesnt matter if they're released or not.

I predict this will sell well (No4 in Play.com preorder atm)

Not everyone is a sad trance anorak lol

(I have trance nation 1,2, 3, 4 and 5 (aka 2001), all mixed by ferry corsten, Then he stopped doing them, 1,2,3 were the best by a long way)
I like music by Ashley Wallbridge, Marcus Schossow, Martin Roth and Eric Prydz.

My all time favourite track is Greece 2000. Second is Undersun - Capoeira.

Not hugley impressed with the tracklist...the second half of the second one looks nice (from 8 to the end), the rest..mediocre
Its like the entirity of the first one is house/electro or at best prog trance...and yet instead of balancing that with an entire melodic/uplifting selection in the second half, theres only a few of that type and the rest are more of the electro/prog stuff, not very balanced and quite biased towrds proggy fans I'd say...

And why so much mat zo? two mat zo release and a matan zohar release..Lol...
