What do you think of Trance music?

Ive been think of it sometimes lately...
I think that Trance music is very emotionel and expressive music.
Sometimes when I put my headphones on I feel like Im in a bubble filled with music and beautiful world outside of it (not this world we live in a fantasy world pure as can be)

Both me and my boyfriend like trance (he also create his own tracks)

What I feel he think about it is that its all about party and awesome shows (Ive never been to one tho so I actually dont know how it is)

But since all of you here like trance music:
what do you think about trance or how do you feel when listening to it?

what do I think of trance music....

well I'd say I think it's emotional, expressive music as well. Though I believe all music can label that, it just depends on taste and what instruments, rhythms, and lyrics strike you significantly.

it's a great genre once you sit back listen and enjoy the music I don't think people (at least in North American) appreciate it as much as it should be.

Most swedish people (most people in general I think, in other countries too) dont know what trance music is either, if you say trance music they think of hardcore techno music x\

I agree :3 other music can be emotional, expressive and satisfying as well depending on what kinda person yare. (outside of trance I actually like The killers :> cuz I like their lyrics and the singers voice.)

My bf dont like any other music tho ONLY TRANCE. I find that very odd in a way. As an artist I love looking of all kinds of art and I mean I thought it was the same for musicians or people who create music in any way... :\

The dance music scene wouldn't be what it is today without the drugs.

That might be true... sadly. but arent they very strict on thesedays when going to events? But drugs are everywhere not only within trance and such. I bet people are high at other music events as well a reason why some people is there in the first place.

"I think trance music is the only music you can listen to without taking drugs. You can really feel the emotions in it. You can get on another level without the drugs. If you listen to techno, it's so monotone that you really need drugs to enjoy it." - Tiesto

for me Trance is SOULFUL which makes it very special.
Trance has character,a story(i admit only a bunch of tunes),beautifullness( but far from sexy imo)and most importantly like Luconia said, Trance has full of emotinal feelings compared to many other genres of EDM itself.

Trance is sadness, euphoria, rage, relax, joy, etc.
It's pretty much everything you can feel.

Trance isn't bound by certain instruments (at least in the the traditional sense) therefore the creative bounds are endless.

You can do the same nowadays with other genres but it isn't really that explored. At least from what I can see.

i think that drugs ruin your feeling of trance

because enjoying trance and feeling it is way better while not high

I consider trance music the drug itself it makes you go to another world away from every single problem, it's just heaven

    Yes, absolutely agree

When I sit down and listen to Trance, I can keep doing it the whole day. Just turn off the lights, close my eyes and feel the rhythm of Trance. It's like taking me to another world far far away from the real one, making me forget about what I am, what troubles I am getting on, there's just happiness and love in that kind of world. That's what makes me love Trance a lot and get me into the idea of being a Trance producer, even if I might not be a good one.
