Im Intrested in taking Cubase and Reason courses
Right, im really intrested in producing tech trance and as far as I know Reason and Cubase are the perfect softwares for that, but I have a couple of questions:
1) Is it necessary to know how to play the piano/synthesizer to take the course?
2) Must I know the musical theory and/or reading notes to take the course?
3) Besides the software is there anything else needed?
4) Which course do you recommend I take first, Cubase or Reason?

1. Basicly no, but it would be handy.

3. Yes, lots of passion & desire to learn.
4. Reason. Because when you first take Reason course then you realize how awesome it is and you forget everything about Cubase.
Nah, just kidding.
It doesn't matter which one do you take first. But I recommend Reason.
I hope that helped.

Passion, passion, passion and passion....
if you just want to do a course and expect to do a quick score and become multimillionaire you better don't do the course. But if you like messing with music for yourself then do it

oh, yeh and make a decision. Go for cubase OR reason, not both
It doesn't matter which one you choose for but make a decision as they both are quite different
oh, and checkout the ASK tutorials, they are great

What course are we talking about here? If it's a beginners course, maybe you don't need to know anything at all. Ofcourse there's a plus if you know how to play the piano.
Reading notes might be useful, but i haven't had any trouble with that.
About your DAW, just choose which ever you're most comfortable with. If none, just try the trial versions of both programs first. Take Ableton Live in to consideration too
That was INTENSE! Well, not really intense. But pretty intense.
