Muggaz - 13 Hours Late (Work In Progress)

I started getting into producing a few months ago and just picking up tips as I go. Got a few started but its annoying me now that nothing is finished. Link to the tune that I'm currently working on below. I know this is far from finished and I have been doing a bit of work on the build up recently, but can someone lend some advice on giving it a bit more energy and drive?

First of all I like the melody,because it sounds a bit "oldschool" to me. But to make it more energetic you could add a rolling bassline and sidechain it to the kick, then you get that pumping feeling.

You can also consider slowly building up the percussion by automating the volumes and decay.
