i gave up a long time ago when i realized people with horrid taste in music outnumber people with good taste, and that margin is pretty wide if you ask me...but i commend you for taking a stand however!

I would like to know, who actually nominates these people? Is it the officials, the fans or the djs themselves or is this sort thing rigged?

rofl only thing im glad about is that, its not only trance which gets humiliated with those awards. Im sure some hardcore R&B fans vomited seeing David Guetta/Calvin Harris/Benny Benassi nominated under that category. Im mean seriously R&B?
Avicii best Electro/tech house?
Swedish House Mafia under best progressive?
There are loads of ridiculous examples.
In reality 90% of those tracks under those categories are just pop-songs with EDM elements, labeling them trance/house/electro is a disgrace to the real artists who create for those genres.
It almost feels like that 2-3 bigger companies decided that hey, lets try to find something from our releases to fit to all categories and completely ignored rest of the world.
Utterly dissapointed, but then again, i am every single year with this sad excuse of an award

i am quite open minded in terms of genres but the nominations suck, soon lady gaga or britney spears will be considerated as an edm act.
