Pop is a genre in its own right. People stopped using it short for "popular" a long time ago.

I was going to ignore the synth-part, but actually those sounds are not the same at all.

And where are the vocals in the Tiesto track? Where is the Verse1-Chorus-Verse2-Chorus-Bridge-Chorus template?

They are all nowhere. Its not pop. Learn more about genres.

Would you call this pop if it reached number #1 in the top 40? (not that Tiesto's track reaches the top 40 AT ALL, but you still claim it to be popular music)

I was talking about the synth, not about the construction of the track. But it's possible to put lyrics to this track as Tiesto did the same with "Come On".

    Progressive House:

    POP:

Both are the same in every way..

    Stop trolling

All the music stores put Come On as Progressive House and Tiesto calls it Progressive House too, so we have to accept it..

I don't care if it's or not.. or if PG House is Dinka and not Tiesto..

My Idea was that Voci was saying that Tiesto is producing electronic music, and I wanted to show him why some electronic music is POP too..

    I really like this track!

Have no idea why people try to label it as "cheesy pop". No similarities to pop what so ever.
That was INTENSE! Well, not really intense. But pretty intense.

Not really I know a lot of djs like Guy J, Matt Lange, and whole lot of house/tech-house/prog house djs and producers are unhappy that its being tagged as "Prog House" That C'mon track should be tagged as Pop music on beatport. They are some people who think trance is pop music as well well what he think anyway. Tiesto needs a lesson in what Prog House is because what he's producing clearly isn't that.

Why is that? I understand (though i don't agree) when people claim the new 'Swedish house' by Avicii, Alesso, SHM is something close to pop, but that C'mon track is far from that.

So tired of this genre bullshit btw :P Just listen to what you enjoy, don't mind what genre it is.

You are right, but truth be told bunch of monkeys throwing shit at each other can't be called one either!

And they're not opinions. It's straight "I'm-right-you-must-be-wrong-i'm-better" type of thing.
And I don't even expect all positive thinking, but calling a track, "pop, therefore bad",
when I witnessed it tearing down the club not 24 hours ago makes me sick...
And calling someone "pop, soldout, bad artist" when he fills stadiums is... confusing.
And calling positive, loving people who show support(on whatever basis), tosers,
or generaly judging anyone on their musical taste, begs the question what kind of people calling them those are...
and hating on artists because they do what they do today instead of what they did yesterday to pay their bills is just rude...
Really, some responses make me wonder what kind of people some of you really are.

I could greatly expand each of those, but I can't be bothered... it's exactly the thing it's the hardest to fight against.... self-importance, ignorance and lack of perspective...
