I dont get why scientists look for planets with water. I bet there must be life even without water, in extreme high / low temperatures and so on

Because life here on Earth needs water. Scientists have to start a place and we know water is essential to life on Earth so we have to begin with that. Scientists have claimed a long time ago alien life can exist without water.

yeah me too...i often find myself glued to shows like through the wormhole, the universe, how the universe works and anything that relates to the cosmos...i just got a telescope for my bday last year so this summer i'm def going to a dark sky community and stargazing...

The funny thing about the pillars of creation is that it's not there. It hasn't been there for 6000 years now. But the light takes 7000 years to get here, so we will see it for another 1000 years.

At Hubbles own webpage you can download a large sized picture of it, but it looks the same. I think it is simply because it is 7000 light years away. Taking a picture that far away with limited light emitted from it causes a lot of noise, even with telescopes.
