How do you play your HD (1080p) movies?

I don't really buy blueray discs I'm afraid, I only "borrow" them ;-) So I don't think such a player would be of any help, right?
Im more looking for a digital thingy which can also store the movies locally, instead of them all being stored on my laptop.

me neither, i don't buy DVDs/BLU RAYs...anymore...it's a waste of money b/c i only watch once and that's it...but you can still buy a blu ray player and rent or borrow blu ray discs...netflix has blu rays you can rent as do many others like amazon for instant rent for like $2.99! not a bad deal at all if you ask me...

blu ray really is the best even if you don't intend on ever owning any blu ray discs...
