I'm thankful for Detroit Techno & Chicago House.
Don't care much for the rest music-wise.

Nah.
Cheese has always been here ever since the 90's.
I don't see why it's different now. There will be people who love trance (and other genres), and that's why they will continue to exist.

America is killing DJs, not dance music in general.

Is America killing Dance Music? not
System F -Out Of The Blue , Armin-Touch Me

i didnt read the article yet but i do agree that america is killing dance music...once mainstream america gets wind of something, artists start adapting their styles to cater to the masses...i used to be an avid hip hop fan but there came a point when hip hop blew up on a massive scale, the music started becoming like shit...i am seeing the same happening with edm...i can go on and on about this based off my experiences at many various events but i will stop here for now...this scene is currently being bastardized here and it seems to be about money and not the music...

US is not that special and different from other countries so obviously not.

Just the mainstream crap. Oh and Trance of course, but that was not in the US, that was here. Underground, music's still awesome, will always be awesome and will be nothing but awesome because the mainstream can't touch that.

I believe it is yes! agreed

America is the biggest market in the world, americans know nothing about trance but there is always a lot of people there that buy the music.
Djs are killing trance isntead because they want to perform in America so they change their style to get their atention.
Big example is Tiesto, putting rap and trouse mixed with trance and house.
