in our German book we had a chapter, in which we learned about the kind of stuff students should carry in their bags to school every day. among pencils, books etc there was a bottle of der Rotwein

    GERMANY ROCKS

we usually don't carry & don't drink alco @ school (oficially)

these are examples of a bunch of idiots who can't jump and just wanna be funny ... but they are not

"seriously this is no joke" omg

If you wanna jump properly you have to do it on the beat and don't move your legs so spastic...

this is low quality but you should get the picture how it's done properly

Yes it's studied but they do show the basic moves

this kind of music is called "jumpstyle" or "frenchtek" in belgium

For the most part it's a north french / belgian kind of phenomen

Although I think the best jump producer is a dutch duo

    http://www.totalition.com/index2.htm

It has become much more popular here in the last 2 years... so you have alot more people who try to dance to it and some fail miserably but they are not the problem

The real problem are the people who hate it and make stupid movies of themselves where they jump around like idiots and swing there legs spasticly

Then these movies go around the internet and some *cough* asume *cough* that every belgian dances like that

    aahh... ignorance is bliss

The spastic dance looks much cooler. They should forbid the synchronised version

The latest jump hype around here is the filth of all musical styles. Ignorance is the keyword to describe this style. Every "production" sounds EXACTLY the same, has the same melody with one or two notes changed (and it still won't sound good); anyone with 2 fingers and a keyboard can produce jump.

And for some reason, it has become hype.. I don't even know why people even dare to say it's good music, that just means you aren't even listening to it properly because anyone can IMMEDIATLY hear that it's far from original, or even well-created. Shows that they're just running along with everyone else..

Cirrus; no offence to the original crowd and scene (it's not in my musical taste but I'm not dissing that!)

Rommi, everything you say is true, I'm not denying that. Almost evert jump production nowadays sucks. I don't lissen to it anymore but once it was good, it's hard to explain.
Most people who like trance hate jumpstyle... so it's rather pointless to defend it here

When I come to think of it, most people that I know who do like trance and (older) jump music live all close to french borders where jump originated.
I guess you really had to live there or go out there to get into this type of music. When jump started to get bigger and more well-known the quality of the productions got worse.

lol the dance might look funny but leave the belgiums alone.. they are just expressing themselves.. dancing is about bieng happy.. and if semi riverdancing is making them hapy. then let them be.. sheesh.. + alot of bonus points to the belgiums and the germans for drinking in school =P

k let me just say that not all people dance like this, only the 'johns' and the fags who listen to that stupid genre... It's really fucked up to see it and it's getting rather boring ... It's the new genre and it sucks ... Really BAD ... Even the music sucks ... They all act very tough ...

Also a little not, those movies suck, no one really can do the jumpstyle like they call it .

And fuck those djs who play it, it's not even close to trance, it's like hardsyle combinations and it sucks big time... Btw you dutch people don't really have to say a lot about dancing -> I remember the 'gabberkes'
    Nu life forever !
