TranceFix Review: Arkham Knights-I Am [Coldharbour Recordings]

Whenever we have word that the crafty brethren from Leeds are working on something new, one can’t help but rub his hands together with glee while a wide smile forms on their face. I am of course referring to Ben and Stuart, widely known to the dance music community under their iconic stage name “The Arkham Knights“. These guys always amaze with the vast amounts of creativity and ingenuity in the studio. A perfect balance between trance and techno in their sound makes the brothers stand out as their tracks are instantly sought out by the populous.

Their new release is out now on “Coldharbour Recordings” and it is called “I Am“. Another riveting tune awaits. Dark, tech-influenced rhythms welcome us aboard from the very beginning while a genius slight use of the pitch bend on the main synths, reverse effects, a mysterious dose of ominous pads and subterranean leads build an atmosphere unlike no other.

We are instantly carried away into the dark, murky lands that the brethen know so well. Lands absent of light, shrouded with a thick unpierced fog and rich black soil. The sound of a distant stream gargling from afar can be heard among faint voices, like cries of spirits long forgotten. A curious wind makes its dramatic appearance by storming the land, adding to the height of mystery and depth of enchantment this ancient realm surely holds. A domain of darkness and infinite secrets ready to be unraveled by those that deem themselves fit and worthy for the task.

Another absolute score for the “Arkham Knights” which is making the rounds in some of the top players in the scene’s performances.
