I wouldn’t film myself like that. But on the other hand, he’s a handsome guy 😜

Let’s see what happens this time. Can’t tell too much based on that video.

I think I will support the vinyls, but I am also hoping for a CD release.

Edit: oops, wrong quote, here is the one I want to mention.
(Can it be a Ben&Jerry's for 10 EUR in Copenhagen?)
For that price you can buy my vinyl album twice and get an icecream to go with it.

Have a nice day.

11$ for a single MP3 is next level ragebait lmao, he's a good artist imo but there's absolutely no way he doesn't realise how exaggerated his tier prices are.

Also, I'm pretty sure chi is tied to the song itself and not the price, right? Nothing preventing me from obtaining good chakras via YT2MP3 converters. ;)

He is taking out his anger on his fans from whats now considered a classic trance 'era' about state of streamers vs buying debate.

Of course he knows the pricing is ridiculous but then again he has chose to distribute it himself. He can market it how he likes. Maybe its just him stupidly testing waters for future self releases and seing how far he can push. Maybe he's deluded or just doesn't care.

Trance fans dnt care about this bs mumbo jumbo chakras and energy healing/activation.

I won't be buying either.

Even then the sample sound too tight for my ears so plastic in sounding and doesn't sound anything but organic. He wants us to pay $11 for that no thanks

sounds very organic and dreamy. Wouldn’t say its the same track as 2v2 though.

Don't know the facebook quality sounds slightly better compared to the Youtube but still I wouldn't buy this there is nothing emotional about it. It feels like a hologram yeah feels fake. This guy needs to listen to some Ishq - Deep Space Objects or Jonn Serrie stuff if he wants proper textures and soundscapes in his tracks.

Regarding the 1000 dollar price mentioned above, i've seen it before on other bandcamp releases.
Here's an explanation by reddit, because none of you geniuses considered looking it up:

Regarding Thomas Datts pricing - delusional. The track sounds ok but 11 dollars for a single mp3 is a piss take.

Why not just price it for 5 dollars on BC? I'm sure he'd sell more copies?

Its only vinyl release man. And its like a joke for the digital version. And thanks for your warm words about my sense of music, R u vinyl junkie? I think nope )
speaking of jokes, any normal artist would've wanted his music to be heard and played by as many of who might like it, not a bunch of vinyl collectors (whom would still find it how exactly?) or those who can throw a grand for a cat in the bag.

I'm a big fan of the original and the 2007 rework, as well as the Robert Nickson remix. This version doesn't do it for me.

He's an amazing producer. It seems like he's been struggling after 2020 with some sort of mental breakdown.

I asked Tom about the prices and I guess he won’t be mad if I will share his point of view from our conversation:

Those people that are laughing don’t value their own creative work. The music industry is in a huge pile of shit right now. Artists don’t make money for their time and effort. Exposure doesn’t pay the bills, neither do record labels, neither do Spotify plays.

I’m launching a new masterclass very soon on how to make money on music. It will change some things I’m sure of it.
