No reason to not post this man, the track knows what it is and I respect that. I'm not the biggest fan of the style but the production is top-notch.

This track gets really going after the break at around 3:10 and then there is another break at 3:45 with a speed garage like bass line. I hope that after the second break it goes on increasing in energy with the acid sounds and the new bass line over the top. It's got potential just need to hear the full version. You've got the intensity of the kick spot on by the way, not too hard like Coredata sometimes uses in his tracks.

Thanks for the cool feedback! I have to disappoint you a bit as after the second breakdown the track enters the outro part. I don't like to overuse the main melody too much. But after reading your comments I've actually got an idea on how to improve the progression to extend the melodic part haha :D

This is sublime, love Forescape Digital and Additive Sounds releases. Always keeps things fresh and interesting. Can't think of any other trance labels with this kind of consistency outide of the anthem labels. Great work!!

Thank you! I'm trying different things now to keep the production process interesting, you will see that in early 2021 :)
I see what you mean. My point is that you've done the hard work in creating a melody that works and fits well with the rest of the track. So, why not let it shine a bit more and make more use of it. :D Work to the strengths of your track is what I say.

One track on Forescape that delights and frustrates me in equal measure is Basil O'Glue's 1999. It says on the release that he's intended it as a tribute to a year which he thought was a good year for melodic trance. He created such a great melody, full of texture and energy, and then he keeps the melodic segment going for about one minute, if that, before going into the outro. My thoughts were, dude, you've done the hard work and created something great now let it shine more, hehe...

Why not mix things up a little and introduce a second melodic segment further along with some extra effects and sounds. Keep things progressing and building up from one melodic segment to the second. That kind of variety really adds value to any track in my eyes. The same for your track. Maybe you and Basil can both release extended versions of your records, hehe... :D

Spot on. Too many melodies stop after a drop or soon after. Melodies used to really open up after the drop. What changed?? Melody is the hook that keeps people listening....

Depends on producer's personal taste. I don't like to have a more or less the same melody going on for like 4 minutes.

Also, the amount of tracks that I've declined for label where the melody before the breakdown and after it is exactly the same is ridiculous.

Reminds me of JOC's Meridian Bay. Such an interesting buildup and unique melody, yet the climax itself lasted for less than a minute.
I'll be more critical, devil's advocate I guess. Although I was vibing, and the dubstep part was cool, I quickly realized that this track is more like filler. It doesn't stand out to me, and I'll probably forget about it by tomorrow.

It's a cool track, well produced, with a good atmosphere and interesting melody. I wish that the melody part went on for longer but that's just my personal taste. Who cares if the others didn't like it, you stick to doing what you like.

Your production sounds v crisp and clean, good on the ears. Track is like an acid-techo-prog cross.
