The legend died today due to COVID-19 complications. I wish you could interpret this song as clearly as I can, in my language. A masterpiece. A singer telling someone what to do, and calming him/her for when he dies. One of the most incredible songs I've ever known, it just paints an incredible picture of his death through great and uncommon metaphors.

It can easily bring me close to tears, even though I'm usually as emotional as a brick.

And it's not his best work, even though it's most appropriate now, due to his death. There are some of his works that are like novels in an of themselves, packed in a couple of minutes of sung or even spoken musical works. Almost every word is just colorful and paints a picture. He sings about love not in first person or describing what it is, but by telling a story of some fictional character, singing about his life and last words. It's that simple choice that makes that song a work of art and him one of the most important artists in our history.

Noticed his new release in the currents section and lead me to revisiting some of his older works which I had forgotten about. Below is a dark beaut.
