I love your interviews with the makers of early trance/techno on youtube. Very intriguing to hear about the origin of some trend setting tracks. Keep it up!
Thank you very much! I have some super cool names confirmed for later this year; some people that were involved with the early trance / techno scene in the beginning of the 90s. I can't wait hehe! So thank you and stay tuned :)

Yes thank you very much! Such jobs are always "ungrateful" in a way but very important please keep it up! Any chance to get tiesto? or hes just too busy and stuff? The other one would be Ronald Van Gelderen which i think is more real and interesting in a way (afaik he coproduced the Suburban Train) and other great tracks like sustain, after shock (with ferry) etc his vision of trance was awesome, energetic and powerful.

!!! and one of the great ones is Geert Huinink hes the real deal <3 even his later works like Minimal Symphony were great
// lol just found this one you need to get him for sure! (someday)

Thanks so much! And yeah, sometimes it annoys me a bit that people think it is all so easy to do this lol. But then I see all the nice comments and I forget about it straight away ;-)

I'm not even going to try to get Tiësto. He isn't interested in anything related to his trance past. His management said "no" when he was asked to join Ferry in the Gouryella documentary some years ago. So I'm pretty sure I will get a "no" as well. And I'm interested in the stories and production behind the track. I don't think Tijs can tell a lot about that ;-)

Ronald didn't co-produce "Suburban Train". He is only in the credits because he made the original melody, which they used for the Tiësto track later (Check "Kid Vicious - Reform" from 2000). So he didn't (co)produce it or was in the studio with Tiësto to make those tracks ;-) That was Dennis, who I contacted as well a while ago for an interview, but he said "no". But.... I will try again in the near future :)

And Geert did / does some great tracks, but I am very picky when it comes to interviews. I always focus on tracks that became big hits or are famous classics. If I do tracks that are lesser known for a bigger audience (so not the die hard fans like here on Trancefix), the vlogs don't get a lot of views. Since 1 interview takes me about 8 hours time usually (planning, preparing questions, doing the actual interview, editing and promoting it once it is done - this is without travel time to go to the person I interview and back!) I only focus on the bigger tracks.
Maybe one day when I have 100.000 subscribers and make at least a bit of money with the vlog, since this is just a hobby ;-)

But..... I can already tell you that I managed to secure some great names that live in / near Frankfurt. If all goes as I planned, I will record at least 10 interviews there. Can't wait!!!!! Anyway, thanks for the support and your understanding, there will be more stuff for the trance lovers soon, promised! :)

I would like to see one with Sven Meas. There are multiple tracks that would be great to talk about. Probably the biggest to talk about would be The Beauty of Silence, of maybe Twisted.

Also a cool one: Bart Claessen, about the unique 2007 club banger: Playmo. Or make it about Barthezz-On The Move.

If you wanna go Scandinavia, I'd like to see Airbase too, probably about his biggest track 'Escape'. Oh which reminds me. I would actually like one with Paul Moelands. He was such a golden boy around 2004-2007, with big ones like Rogue.

Richard Durand - Make Me Scream. That's also an interesting one. From top40-dj G-Spott, creating such a weird clubsmasher under a new alias. Which brought him a whole new career as Richard Durand. Could be a cool interview.

Thank you! Bart is a good friend of mine and once there will be new music from him, we're gonna do an interview or 2 for sure ;-)

I don't want to sound rude or so, but for now I don't really take requests right. I have a looooong wish-list with people still that I want to interview. There's over 50 people I would love to do an interview with still, so I have plenty of ideas still. FYI I focus on big classics / hits, so not really tracks that are usually only known to die-hard trance fans (yes I'm picky! :p)

I spoke to Jezper / Airbase as well, he's also interested, so whenever he's back in NL, we will try to make it happen. Unfortunately I don't have a travel budget for these vlogs. My trip to London last year was made possible because I got some donations from people, to cover at least the costs of the flights. I managed to stay at my friends place there, but all other costs (uber, train, underground etc) are all paid by myself. So a trip to Scandinavia for an interview is not gonna happen lol ;-)

Trust me, there will be enough content coming up later this year, not just trance / hardtrance, also techno, hardcore, house, Eurodance and more. I recently got in touch with someone who hardly does interviews. He is up for an interview, but I need to go to Frankfurt for that, so right now I'm planning a 3 day trip to Frankfurt. Hopefully I manage to get enough donations to cover at least a part of the travel costs. I love doing the interviews, but it is a lot of work and not cheap either hehe ;-)

Anyway, glad you enjoy the vlogs, more to come soon!

You’re not rude at all. Dont worry.

Just sharing some of my thoughts for fun, inspiration and dreaming. Obviously there are tons of ideas possible. I respect all the time and money you put into it.

Hope you can earn a couple with them in the future.

Thank you! :) If all the ones I have contacted for my Frankfurt trip are pushing through, I will have some great ones in September / October, fingers crossed :) And thanks again for the kind words!

What about a section which discusses albums/compilations and mini albums?

I've just found out that you can start a thread using this section, instead of [Post Thread] button 🙀

I thought it was a search bar.
