This is pretty rad man. Synaesthesia is one of my all time greats, dont think I heard a slower version like this before

Great work so far.

The bass is perhaps a bit too loud, too crunchy for my taste. Perhaps a bit too much high frequencies.

As for the main lead: My initial thought was that you sampled it from an existing track. Was it re-created? If so, very convincing sound imo.

At 1:25 there are some background pads, I would give them more volume.

Maybe extend the build-up at 2:37, with another bar playing the build-up melody, but remove the kick and maybe some other elements. That way, it's a bit less sudden when the main melody comes in.

I think it needs some more elements to make it really interesting. Like a very light arp flowing around in the 4:00 to 5:00 part. Or some raw prog-house FX sounds like Eelke Kleijn uses. Would make it just a bit more interesting and full.

I can see with some slight polishing this really being a great version supported by many dj's. Why not?

@Magnevi has a lot of good and valid points, but the fundamentals are there.

Really good frame for a remix and needs a few more riffs and sounds to make it compelling. While I haven't remixed a track in a while, when I did I always asked myself, "How can I respect the original track while adding my own signature sound and make it my own?"

You definitely hit the nail on the head for the first part of that question, and being that it's a progressive track, I think it's a nice opportunity to add in your own supporting and unique melodies and make it even more your own, making it fresh and new while paying homage to a classic.

Keep up the good work!

As I've said to you on WA, expected a bit more creativity...but then again, you can hardly overlook that iconic melody. Hard to leave it out or get creative with it. Still, I know this was made to fit sets, but really want to hear something of your own here, especially because I've heard your other stuff which was amazing. Aaand it's maybe a bit too slow, and basic. You really need something to set it apart, like better percussion, atmospheres, maybe a melody/hook/riff/etc, a more playful bassline... The core of it is there, just needs more work to make it complete.

Yeah agree with a lot of the points here. its a very good foundation and even on its own I can enjoy, but love one or two more elements to take it a bit further and maybe add your personality. Acid licks? More percs for increased balls at points? I dont know. But you are onto something, just needs to be taken up a notch.

I'd like to thank every comment here, I made it to fit progressive sets, and all you heard was made in just one studio section.
I've decided to work on it again, make better adjustment and I'll come back here to post a new version.
Thank you all for the kind comments and feedback.

Really enjoyed this.
I agree with a lot of the points in here, especially that reese bass sounds way too raspy for my liking.

A great remix over all though, good work!
Yeah man, I don't know what it sounded like this ...
Maybe soundcloud compression, it doesn't sound too distorted in my wav file...
Thanks for the kind words
