using a lot of threads for self-promotion with very little/questionable link

When have i ever done that hehe - if i post one of my tracks in a thread,it will have a connection - like this Interstellar melody. A producer self promoting on a small forum like this is never really going to get any new followers - i let Youtube/Soundcloud/Facebook take care of that side.

Just heard the full HQ version. I have to say, it is very good!! Can't compare to the BP sample at all!

Ah, good to hear that the intro part does have some elements that are not "simply re-used Anahera".

Still feel like the main lead arpeggio is too similar to Anahera, to call this a real masterpiece, but I guess it's enjoyable overall.

S'alright, true to his Gouryella sound and well produced. Not the most inspiring melody though and once you hear so many of these build up, break down, riff type tracks they lose their shine and the melody needs to be something pretty special to excite me. And this is not it. It's clearly aimed at the ASOT new kids market with its soft and accessible melodies.

Still one of the better trancers out there and props for having a second melodic verse.

Not bad, like how its produced. Melody and theme is what I dont really connect with, it seems like an attempt to be melancholic and emotional but to me sounds a bit too cheesey and basic. Dont mind the track overal though, I can enjoy it.

Really want producers like Ferry who know how to make Trance and Uplifiting with clean production and good structures to add some balls back into the track. Not cheesey but instead driving and edgey. We've had two decades of this piano la la la melodic stuff now. Atmospheric moods also seem to be only considered during the breaks but not generally, why? Slice of Heaven with Oakenfold was pretty good modern example where it had good drive and also some more interesting ideas.

You mean like Above & Beyond's On My Way to Heaven, from 2011?
That one blows a lot of classics out of the water, imo. Great execution of trance.

Pretty cheap, and for the love of god enough with the Interstellar theme already
If we had a "pin a comment" functionality, yours would be pinned. After listening to the entire track, this was more or less my summary as well.

Interstellar? I know someone who made a remake of the theme song. Perhaps you know him too?

Listening to the full version - i love the way hes put a lot of his old sounds in - the albion air pad and some old synth lines from another 99 productions - the break is quite chilled for Gouryella, very atmospheric - but the way the main melody comes in feels a bit underwheming, its definatly one of the weaker melodies hes done for Gouryella.

BUT - at least you can tell this is Ferry straight away who made this, with all the little trademark details - not something you can say about 90% of the generic Trance producers.
