Today the brandnew Aerium (@jetflag) single is released on Legacy Of Trance Recordings.

You might know him mostly for his ambient and tasteful downtempo trance music, but he also creates some great uplifting under his Avalon 62 moniker. And here is his new one!

PROMO TEXT
'Yura' is the new anthem from first time dad Aerium. When his son was born at the end of last year, the joy of becoming a father was all poured into this fabulous uplifter. It became a driving track that is bursting with enthousiasm and all the emotions shine through the melody from the start! A proper way to welcome this little man to the world and into the Trance Family!

On the digital b-side you'll find a remix by... myself. While saying "yes" to the task was very easy, creating the remix wasn't that easy, as it's such a great original with a special meaning. I really wanted to keep the spirit of the song, and hopefully succeeded with that pretty well :) My version is a bit more club-oriented, in a 2000's-classic-trance sort of way! But the lovely main theme from the original is still there.

Mmmmm

Not a fan haha.

Too much steroids, especially in the original, even though I like those background percs. Theres way too much bottom end and oumpf and while theres not much else besides the snare going it comes out very bare, spartan and broish im sorry to say. Good work though with the synths. The break is too orchestral sounding for me, but as I see its dedicated to your son im not gonna puke to much on it. The melody and mood is ofc fine if you look at it on bigger scale I guess, and can evoke feeling, but to me it falls flat. Fuck its hard to give tracks positive feedback when you really dont like it that much haha. Not your best work under the Aerium alias.

I dont like the Magnevi mix that much more either. It basically suffers from the same things, while being a bit more driving, I think the kick is too broish here also. I can hear some early dutch influences in the build, but then it goes completely into Andy Blueman trance disney mood. Sooooorrry haha. Overall i think the arrangement and structure of the tracks is a little too simple and formualic. Its VERY kick-driven straight to the point so to speak.

I think both of you have made better tracks that I can remember. Sorry guys!

You must be the owner of the Legacy of Trance recordings?

I've been checking out the Resurrection compilations on Beatport recently and purchased some tracks. In particular pleased that Benicio's For the Love of You was featured on the second installment, a nice summery track from back in the day that you can't find anywhere else digitally.

Who is Barry Xwood btw, bit of a silly name?😄

Haha, well, I appreciate you taking the time to post Daysleeper!

We have another single upcoming, an actual "collab" from the two of us. Maybe that will be more to your liking. The beat-foundation of that one will still be "steroid" for your taste, but melodically it's not so much disney, as you put it. It is a more anthemic/festivally track, a la Joop / Bolier. Looking forward hearing your opinion on that one. But cannot post that yet :)

Propeller, I don't own the label. I'm just a hobbyist who made a few tracks for them. Barry is the label owner. He started with those compilations first, but releases original music for a few years now too. It's supposed to focus on trance with "the classic feeling". I don't know why his name is XWood. It does not have a link with his surname (translated or whatever). And yeah, it could also be quite a good porn-actor-name....

don't, be harsch. Just know that i'm not planning on doing anything about it 😄

this track is was momentairy expression of joy and energy after my son was born (made in 8 hours with virtually no sleep thanks to the aforementioned by the way). The purpose wasn't to make a sophisticated (non bro) track for the connoisseur :)
an outlet if you will...

feedback non-the-less much appriciated as always daysleeper(y) and future avalon 62 tracks probably won't have the bro'ish element to them as i have more (spread) time to work on them every now and so often.

Sort of torn. The melody is a bit orchestral (and a bit familiar), yeah, but I can appreciate it. Must've felt great when you came up with it, especially if the emotions were running high. Ultimately though, both mixes aren't my thing, but I have to say I would've enjoyed them back in 2013 when I was falling in love with this sound. So any feedback would be highly influenced by the fact that I don't like this style anymore.

I like the beginning and outro sections of both mixes a lot and the foundation I guess. No issues with the percussion actually. Don't mind the harder modern approach as you guys did add some textbook classic touches within that percussion and drive which is very nice. Overal theme on both tracks is too cheesey and forced emotional for my taste. Could say the composition lacks a cohesiveness that ties everything together in a flow and the breakdowns the culprit for me.

@Magnevi you've definitely improved a lot though and this is better than the one you showed me back months ago.

Hoping for more tracks like Moon Wave from you in the pipeline @jetflag, absolutely loved that one. Any prog ones coming up?
