Haha ffs @Katadunkass. There's 50,000 of us in the home country stadium of course they are gonna do it, creating a hostile environment is standard procedures, no one cares about insulting a nation, its intimidation and unsettling for the opponent. You never heard national anthems boo'd 100 times before in football? It's always been like that. Look it's all good as long as the Queen is left out of it.

Also the little crying girl thing is FUNNY. When the camera panned to her the entire pub is was in went 'wheyyyyyyyyy' and it was funny. No one has any hatred towards the girl, no one thinks sad children is a good thing, it's just the moment and people can separate reality and humour. Theres nothing sincere about it and thats how it can be funny cmon. OK fine maybe its just shit British humour.

Gutted... Second half was just blah. Italians had us.

Terrible scenes outside Wembley before the match. Almost makes me think we didn't deserve it. Some of the English fanbase suck!

[ Alfredo Martínez ] The harsh reality at Barça is that as of today, the new signings can't be registered either.

What an absolut fucking shitshow, hahahha - it means players like Memphis Depay, Aguero, Emerson and so on can't be registrered to play in La Liga because they are still 120M dollars above the wagecap even after Messi left because he was never on the wage list.

He's had a pay cut of 50% in the past season already, and with delayed payment. He would've agreed to the same this year, but Barca can't afford to pay at least 4 players even without him on the payroll, and on top of that, they are above a billion Euros in debt. They would've had to sell half their squad just to keep him. At some point, you have to ask yourself what is really the best thing for a club that you love so much.

That said, I really support the idea of a salary cap (or bigger financial restrictions) of sorts. But it needs to be implemented everywhere. The salaries today are getting out of hand, and it's clear that the Financial Fair Play isn't doing much to limit big spenders from luring the best players away from other clubs. There's very little equality in football, especially in the biggest competitions.

Salary caps I agree with. Barca and their financial planning team (of which there would be many) should have foreseen this probability. I'm surprised there hasn't been sanctions but financial fair play doesn't seem to be a stick stronger enough for these clubs. The UK is the same in that regard. You see lower League clubs get punished under these rules but the prem seems to ride the wave.

We did it!
Went to the game yesterday. We were 2-0 down against FC Viktoria Plzeň after the first leg. Still buzzing!

Can't wait for the draw today...

Ajax are playing just like Dortmund did when I fell in love with them years ago. Fantastic, free-flowing football with lots of talent up front.

Dortmund are awful at the moment, don't let the 2nd place in BL fool you. Conceding lots of goals, barely winning...was just a matter of time until they regressed to the mean.

Haaland is quick, tall, strong and overhyped. A lamppost has a softer first touch. He tries to bully his way into the goal - when it works it looks fantastic, but when it doesn't, you clearly see how he has no technique or vision.

I know injuries are a bitch, but a strong team played today, one of their strongest. It's kamikaze tactics, and they got exposed. And don't let me start about the medium/long-term planning...

Yeah Ajax was on fire yesterday! What a show and what a difference compared to the CL-campaigns we did under Frank the Boer!

We'll definitely advance to the next round for sure.
