Every now and then I get frustrated that I am not moving forward and it almost makes me want to quit and then this happens. I was working on a remix for major trance label competition and decided to scrap it because I wasn't happy with it. I took the pads and bassline I wrote for it and made this instead. "When God closes a door, He opens a window"

Every producer feels like this at certain points. I've said it before, but the learning process for music production is a slow one. All about marginal gains.
Stick with it though mate!

Really liking the synth work on this. Really trippy sounding on the intro.

If I'm going to be super critical, I'd say you should try to switch things up a bit after the breakdown. Maybe go a bit darker on the breakdown and bring in a bit of a higher pitched counter melody to offset the main arp and the chord stabs, just to give the track a bit more variation.

Nice work though!

Haha ohh yeah. Remember those periods myself, you think you're crap, and then inspiration hits all of a sudden and you make your best stuff yet.

This track is pretty sweet, but as with most of your stuff, it just misses a professional touch to it. Those short saw stabs could be a bit more lush, for instance, you could put some reverb and play with the modulation and some effects to keep it moving. You know, stuff like that. You make a good, solid foundation to a track, but don't take that extra step - and I know it's hard, it was the hardest one for me, creatively. And maybe it's not fair that I'm criticizing a track you made months ago, but as you're getting better, I think you should know what steps to take to improve your tracks, creatively.
