I think he, even now still, advocates it. I haven't watched his stuff in a long time but his standpoint on antidepressant is afiak basically: No good psychotherapy'ing someone who hung him or herself from a tree
the whole narrative of him being this responsibility guru hypocrite turned junkie has been circulating the net for some time now and its presumably conjured up by people who hate the man with such passion that they'll do anything to discredit him. no matter how low the stoop.
The story in a nutshell was basically a combination of previously diagnosed fysical illness, depression, finding out that his wife was going to die, and then getting a paradoxical reaction to the (prescribed) benzo's. that let him into that rehab clinic/ trial.
also, the man's not anti vax. he's anti government over-reach. there's a difference.
