Is there a reason why you don't put it on Beatport?

I can imagine it's still an outlet where a big group of trance fans hunts for new trance tunes. And your tune could very VERY well become number 1 trance track, which will give the track a lot of attention.

Promos have started to go out to the major Trance shows this week

Ahhh massive. This is THE TIME where the trance scene will show us what it is truly made of.

I can imagine Solarstone putting it out on Pure Trance Radio.

Solarstone might play this. To be honest I don't think it will appear on the big ones as ASOT or FSOE. The length might be the problem sadly...but if they appear it would be so cool...

Actually maybe it has a chance, Ruben is sucker for this oldschool trance soud, try to write some story along, he might be interested...

Imagine...the track would be played at the end...then we might create an army and try to vote it as FF. That might spawn some interest about he oldschool trance yet again. Back to it's glory days :)

Who cares? I rather not have this played. Being played on a show these days is almost an insult. The music is treated as garbage. It has zero longevity.back in THE days they replayed quality music vecause it was quality. Nowe its just catch and throw

ASOT hasnt cared about trance in 10+ years..

Why would the tune need to get played at asot to "spawn" interest of old trance? people who love trance cares about good trance music with or without asot.

Its still a massive deal to producers if they get major support on a show...espeically if they play your track out of the blue, and not just playing it cos its their 'mate' or on there own label...

Nope, total crap. You are just angry person and a troll...

Anyway, I hope you will get some support with the release. You already created a buzz on your youtube channel and here on this forum. Some more recognition in a radishow would surely be nice bonus ;) I will try to contact Ruben on his social media about the release...

I decided to listen to these tracks after I noticed "In My Fantasy" being selected TranceFix's top track of the year and "Enigmatic" reaching the podium. Huge congrats for the achievement!

After one listen jury is still out for my opinion however. I mean I am not sure if I genuinely like the tracks or do I just like the idea they represent. I have always found it somewhat difficult to determine if I like the tracks because it has this or that thing I really liked in the old times or because it really is good. It has been an issue with many reworks or even with Activa's Origins album for an example. It gets increasingly difficult when the tracks are intended to sound like the old times, just with modern technology. I knew I felt warmth inside of me already with the basslines, but a lot of it is due to nostalgia.

Anyway, even though I probably still need more listens to make my opinion, I really hope these tracks will receive support. Even if I would like these just because of nostalgic reasons, I personally would like to have some certain elements from the past re-emerging and this kind of release could pave the way for it.

Maybe you shouldn't look into it so much.

Just press play, put up the volume.... and if you find yourself enjoying listening to it... you like it.

If you don't care much, and maybe you feel like "skipping to the next track", you don't like it much.

There doesn't have to be a deeper meaningful reason to make "liking it" worthy or not.

Theres a couple of reasons really. As ive done this as a self release right from the vinyl all the way through, there is certain hoops you need to jump through to get a release on Beatport as a label. As it doesnt have any label intervention Beatport wont be interested if I applied with this sadly. Its all about volume for them.
If I had gone through a label then it wouldnt have got the vinyl backing so then would have ended up with no vinyl.

So to still give it a full digital release there is ways you can do it so ive set up with a distributor and it gets a full digital release just like any other (Spotify, Apple etc etc) . With the distributor I can release via Beatport however, Beatport want to charge $9.99 a month just for it to be on their platform which is scandalous. In addition, just by being on Beatport. if you go through that route they still wont guarantee you that the track will get any feature or the same opportunity as any other release via a major label. Basically in my view they think its a hindrance someone going it alone.

Additionally, although Beatport is the main source for Dance music, personally I dont have much care for the Beatport charts so weighing up it all, I opted not to go for the Beatport route.

It has gone out to Rich, + ASOT/Ruben, PVD, Ferry ......basically to some of the major players.
I included a bit of a back story to go with it.
The subject line on the emails read : [PROMO] The Trance Classic that never was......

Im not implying as such that this would have been a classic, but I just wanted to do something that was different and hopefully stood out :)

Yeah i can see your point too. I mean when you watch any live show, its literally one in one out. Tracks dont get featured as frequently as they would have done years ago.

I understand what you say mate, but people and their views can change. Sean Tyas featuring these tracks is a great sign as far as I'm concerned though.

The combination of Nath's classics style music along with it getting support from those you maybe wouldn't expect gives me a small feeling of hope for better things/times to come for Trance...even if that's reading into it all way too much.
