ASOT hasnt cared about trance in 10+ years..

Why would the tune need to get played at asot to "spawn" interest of old trance? people who love trance cares about good trance music with or without asot.
Becuase they do care, the show is now more in Rubens hands. He is clearly very enthusiastic. They try to give chances other styles via guestmixes from all the genres. They try to select the best tracks, supports all artist, not only Armada. They have interesting interviews, like the 10 questions. They support new and good talents. They listen to peoples advices for tracks and producers. They do challenges, like the pub quiz. They communicate with fans, for example its possible that he will reply me according the Trance Classics release. The show is important for new talents, also I never headr a total garbage on Asot, that menas that they select tracks very carefully....off course there is that negative thing, that they pushing the new wave of steroid trance and pushing that Armin styled tracks...thats true, but hey, as I said many times, thats how trance evolved. The show is very versatile also, they support all the subgenres....I dont think there is better show objectviely....at the moment

In my very deep heart, im like with you....with your opinions and with some points...well, sometimes...
I would also love if the 99-2004 era return, but the difference is...I accepted the new direction, while you dont, so thats why we clash so often. But somewhere deep inside I actually understand you...and believe me, im not the steroid trance lover, i just appreciate the melodies and understand why they make it so loud and noisy....my whole alltime "lets say" top 50 would possibly be from the 2000 era tracks only...

Never read so much bullshit in my life. ASOT is perhaps the main reason why trance has become a joke for the past 15 years. Supporting nothing but the most generic, soulless, template garbage and constantly neglecting the few quality tracks thats being made every year. Asot is garbage and so is your taste in music. Even todays techno is more trance then that crap

After one listen jury is still out for my opinion however. I mean I am not sure if I genuinely like the tracks or do I just like the idea they represent. I have always found it somewhat difficult to determine if I like the tracks because it has this or that thing I really liked in the old times or because it really is good. It has been an issue with many reworks or even with Activa's Origins album for an example. It gets increasingly difficult when the tracks are intended to sound like the old times, just with modern technology. I knew I felt warmth inside of me already with the basslines, but a lot of it is due to nostalgia.

It's a fair point. For me though I am almost instantly liking the track even before Ive heard the idea, breakdown, melody etc, and it's not because I am feeling nostalgic or its my favorite style of sound (it isn't at all, never listen to the epic supersaw stuff now), it's because all the sounds just sound so pleasing to the ears, so dynamic and rich and balanced in the mix. In comparison almost every single track I listen to today has something that takes me out or prevents me from enjoying it fully because it just sounds awful. I think hardware was used for this track btw, at least for the majority of parts.

I mean just listen to the build up section of Enigmatic. Every element breathes and it fits together so well. The rhythm has movement and balls, it doesn't need a power kick and white noise to achieve it.

Ok so we have Daysleeper 2.0, but this time much more offensive and agressive. So I have the same quiestion again, why are you actually here?? Can you read the title? It says trance...this is a trance forum, you are at the wrong place man...

Ive mostly seen negative comments from you,...If this style aint for you anymore, you can just move on...go and follow a techno oriented forum....I used to be a Scooter fan back in the 99, do you think I visit their forum these days and writing there how they changed and how crap it is now? No...They moved, I moved...

Thanks for the words mate! Thats exactly what I aimed for on this. Something that has some good dynamics, not over processed or crunched. White noise is sometimes good but i feel in some of the modern day trance tracks its a bit too harsh to the point you cant even hear the cymbal's and hats.

I havent mate, I dont have an email for him.

You could use the "Contact The Thrillseekers" link at the bottom-right, it will go to an email address. He's not a huge operation so I expect he will read it personally. If you arranged to send him a vinyl copy I'm 99% sure he would play it during one of his regular vinyl mixes.

He likes classic trance, and there's a lot of that in here too. I do think mister should use a bit more friendly words but that's another thing.

As for the topic, let's keep this ontopic, about Enigma State.
I agree!

I know, my brains just occasionally goes into some kind of irrational protective mode and starts to overanalyse stuff. Maybe over the years I developed a defensive mechanism against bad reworks or something :D I know I should just "feel" the tracks as if I would be in the club, but well, it does not always happen just like that for me.

However as I mentioned, I just needed some more listens. In My Fantasy is not my cup of tea, the breakdown just isn't the stuff I like (I have always been more into a proggier stuff than epic uplifting anyway). But Enigmatic is a different beast. It has a atmosphere from somewhere like 2003 but it builds up very nicely and as you @Hensmon said, everything fits in nicely. Something that could very easily stand next to let's say Fictivision vs. C-Quence - Symbols and be proud of itself.
