Nice bassline, good acid, nice-souding production.
Musically though it falls flat. The arrangements/structure are on a very basic level and its simply not that interesting to listen along. The elements are being added in super predicting way, its too robotic/repetitiv, it stays in the same energy level the whole track, it doesnt take any interesting sidesteps etc .Its especially evident within the kick/bassline/cymbal/clap I think which is meant to drive the track forwards. I dont know if its slow tempo that makes it feel so sluggish/uninteresting or the actual placement of the different drum sounds or the respective rhythms but for me it comes out lifeless and slow/repetitiv/uninteresting. I miss a huge lot of finesse, small things can do so much.
I mean the trancemix fixes the tempo issue a bit, but it still has that same problem for me with the arrangement feeling very robotic and predictible. I always love trance that has alot of interlplaying beetween the rhythms, and when analysing this it does have a bit of that so am asking myself, why dont I enjoy this more? I wish alot of these producers that make this 128-130bpm trance could take a note to this and actuallly listen to their own creations in a more musical way, and less so in a does-it-sound-well-produced-way Because I think it just lacks alot of actual musical credibility. It seems its just a style of trance these days and has been the last 10 or so years, that does make it distinctive, so its much a style over substance issue.
