One of the biggest Trance records of all time... well knowed and accepted also outside of the Trance borders.

Released as a single in 1990 on the Belgian label Diki Records, it was produced by Bruno Sanchioni and Giuseppe Cherchia from Italy, with vocals by Karen Mulder. In 1992, the React label released Jam and Spoon's "Watch Out for Stella" remix, which gained more popularity than the original track and opened up opportunities for remixes by artists such as Paul Van Dyk, and Garry Creen in 1997. 'Watch Out for Stella' was a reference to Jam and Spoon's own track "Stella" which was released around the same time on their 'Tales from a Danceographic Ocean EP' on the legendary Belgian label R&S Records.

The Original Video

Here are the original versions.. The producers have never made a follow single/release. Some years later Bruno Sanchioni started the project 'B.B.E.'

Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (New Age Mix)

Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (Flying Mix)

Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (Boeing Mix)

There are so many remixes out there Paul van Dyk, Marco V, Solomun, Cosmic Gate, Emmanuel Top and many many others remixed the tune.

A great track for both home listening as well as full on dancing in a club.

the intro with that huge ‘siren’ is almost annoying, but when the famous vocal starts, and that catchy bassline drops in, all is forgiven. It’s simply a monumental track.

You learn something new everyday. I wonder how much money he made from this track

The breakdown still puts a smile on my face. Never heard those other mixes. Boeing remix is nice

'Age Of Love' appeared on more than 600 compilations/mixed cd's, maybe thats the biggest commercial success of the track, because I don't see it anywhere high in the sales charts. 'Seven Days and One Week' was in the Top 10 nearly everywhere in Europe..

I wonder if J&S had only one payment for their remix work. Not everyone becomes money from the sales, its always about the contract.

Here is the second Jam & Spoon Remix: 'In The Sign Of Time Mix'

Loved the Emmanuel Top Mix myself. J&S Stella Mix is trance history. Just love how the kick is so subdued, yet it's enough. You almost have to search for it, which always has a great effect IMO.

Those original mixes are gorgeous those warm pads are out of this world.

Everyone knows the Jam & Spoon Remix as THE vesion of Age Of Love. But before Jam & Spoon, there were the original mixes. In this video you can hear the two tracks on the original A-side of the original release on Diki Records from 1990. Keyboards provided by Bruno Sanchioni, the B from B.B.E. :) hansbertcd@skynet.be

First tune I ever heard that mirrored the sound of actual trance music I had in my mind. I think I was 16. Around 1993 / 92. That’s when it slowly began for me. The addition to trance. 🤘
