I found these through Twitter looks like they are from JWST because the caption say

Squeezing some color out of the various filters showing all the glowing dust in the center of NGC628.

Red (screen layer mode): MIRI F2100W

Orange: MIRI F1130W

Cyan: MIRI F770W

Extra overall brightness in grayscale: MIRI F1000W

Fantastic images, I hadn't seen half of these. So great that for decades now we will be getting more awesome space images. The one with all the galaxies literally gave my shivers and true mind blow feeling. You can never fully grasp the size of the universe, but this certainly helps give you a slither of that perspective and scale.

I need to learn more about the telescope and what its trying to look for. Any apparatus on it that could confirm life on other planets? i.e something like phosphorus readings or other elements that require industrial process...

I suggest reading Liu Cixin's The Dark Forest series and after that re-contemplate whether or not you uberhaubt want that be the case at all ;)

At least to some extent, yes. There has already been some re-analysis of a nearby exoplanet "WASP-96b", that shows with greater clarity that wavelengths of radiated light blocked by the planet's atmosphere are consistent with the wavelengths we know are blocked by water molecules.

How people can't love space after seeing pictures like these is beyond me
Some people find it boring because there is nothing but dead space and gas. Oldest known galaxy phot taken by JWST. GLASS-z13, broken the previous record by a 100 million years.

It has no relevance to people’s daily life on earth, that’s why they don’t care. It doesn't change anything for them, in the shot term at least. Bigger issues for the average man to deal with. Also some people really lack the imagination and actually likely don’t have a personality type to connect in a meaningful way to space and ponderous nature of it. My intelligent friend is like that, having 0 interest in those kind of deep or philosophical questions. Sucks to be him.

I for one fucking love space and I fucking love these images. Can they point this shit at distant moons like Titan or Europa and get a real close shot of the surface?

They're so awesome, but I can't think about the context too much as it sends me in to an existential crisis.

Seeing light from so many millions of years ago, each one is a galaxy containing billions of star systems.... and that's just a tiny fraction of the night sky...

here's something to contemplate if you're in the mood (or not) you, and everything around you are made up of the same atoms that formed the first stars billions of years ago and have now gone exinct 🙃

Are these from JWST/Hubble? Look a bit enhanced to me, although that last one is fucking gorgeous.
Yup, it's from Hubble.

The last one is Zeta Ophiuchi it's actually from Image credit: X-ray: NASA/CXC/Dublin Inst. Advanced Studies/S. Green et al.; Infrared: NASA/JPL/Spitzer
