That was probably me. I'll check the wayback machine.

edit: looks like the wayback machine doesn't work well with the old site, so I'll go ahead and dig up the stats again:

... we're going to have to stretch the definition of "trance" because some of the most popular songs on Youtube wouldn't be considered trance by this forum.

Armin van Buuren - Blah Blah Blah: 630.6 million views. It just... is. 40 million more views from the two most-viewed Tomorrowland 2018 uploads.

Armin van Buuren, Vini Vici, Highlight Tribe - Great Spirit: 303 million views. 163 from Armin's upload, and 140 from the Transmission Prague 2016 upload. 9 million views more if you count the uploads for Miami Ultra 2017 and Armin Only.

Darude - Sandstorm: 288 million views; 235 million from the official Darude upload, and 53 million from the first Sandstorm video uploaded on Youtube 16 years ago. This excludes roughly 100 million combined views from other videos and variations, such as the Angry Birds remix, Hardwell's version from Tomorrowland 2018, Deadmau5's accidental recreation of the synth, Sandstorm played with pens, boomwhackers, or a potato, and the video from the REACT channel.

DJ Tiesto - Adagio for Strings: 164.5 million views; 118 from a fan upload, 38 from Tiesto's official studio upload, and 8.5 from Tiesto's official upload of the live version. The first two videos were uploaded about 14 years ago, and the live version was uploaded about 8 years ago. 28.4 million more if you count fan uploads from Tomorrowland 2019, the official radio edit, and a fan upload from Tiesto in Concert

Highlight Tribe - Free Tibet (Vini Vici remix): 130 milion views. From Iboga Records' official upload.

the adorable videoclip has to be part of it.
Naturally, also the charity organization and charity behind it. A lot of people don't understand how much money charities make actually. This have seen ton of support and advertisement of course. Also it's the kind of content that can easily cross into hundreds mln + vews. I have to admit I contributed a lot by watching it 15/20times. This kind of videos are my secret guilty pleasure plus the cheesy vocal trance is one of my other guilty pleasures.

Deep house and not trance, but I am sure a lot of you don't even consider the original trance. Anyways this was astonishing, the latest remake Atb did of 9pm hit about 150mln views combined in about 6 videos. This one has the bulk of it with 50mln views alone.

Robert Miles - Children has 266+ million views.

But as it's closer to dream house, then "In And Out Of Cheese"has 265+ million.
Very close, lol.

I would say Children is firmly trance. It's what kicked off "dream trance"

Im going to do a top list after research, but i wouldnt include blah blah or any vini vici....also i want to keep it to full track, singular uploads, over 10 million plays.

And that's perfectly understandable.

Side note: I'm surprised at how "unpopular" trance is in today's age. Tracks that were commercially successful three decades ago, that paved the way to the genre barely have 1-2 million views today and don't reach 10 million views. No Hallucinogen or Astral Projection tracks have more than 10 million views.

Some of the outright war crimes that Tiesto has been releasing under the guise of it being 'music' over the past 10 years are on 250+ million views already :cautious:
