New mix from the man of the hour, Reflex Blue. Though it might be mostly *actual* old stuff....

And one from Dylan Forbes, much more driving than his usual stuff. This one definitely has some newer tunes in there as well.

Might've been posted already but too lazy to check, this is probably one of my most replayed mixes in the last month. There's a few IDs in here that I'm keen to grab that I'd wager are either new Spray or at least on his label. One at 34 mins especially with the vocal sample is way up there.

@Redrot, @erickUO u are you boys doing most of your tune searching on soundcloud, via following the artists and the mixes? Seem to be on top of it nicely and finding a lot of this stuff.

Yup, there's also a guy on SC who's making mixes almost every day, I often checked his comments & likes on new releases since he's very active.

Interesting, this guy runs Falling Star Erotica - not sure if its a label that would belong in this thread but there are some lo-fi guys I follow like DJ .wav who've released on it!

I dont know if Enigma State was already mentinoned here but:

I am currently also on a journey discovering and producing 90s trance (well I try to).

A little harder track, guess it has a 90s vibe. Recorded on Tape.

And my newest track which was already on here. Digital

Next year arround January/Feburary there will be another release on a label!

Ya'll posting good tracks but none of this is classic Trance, lmfao. I keep coming to the thread and its just house music from bandcamp. I know genres are confusing but we all know what Classic Trance sounds like, it's Enigma State style. He's the only one thats delivered so far.

The early to mid 90s would like a word :).

Edit: Seriously though, you are not wrong that a lot of tracks in this thread are borderline genre-wise, trance adjacent, I guess? Seems to me best of it isn't trying to replicate the 'classic trance sound' of the late 90s early 00s, and why should it? Trance grew out of other genres FFS. I've never had so much fun mixing this stuff, can switch genres to some filthy breaks, dnb, techno, all while maintaining a very trancey vibe. You can call it whatever you want, I call it fucking sweet. Music that gives me more of a trance hit than anything I've heard in the last few years. Enigma State is choice, I love it, don't get me wrong. But it's still rehashing an old idea.

Is really 'Trance' only about melodic synth stuff? I dont think so.. BUT I understand the view of the current 'Trance' state, but its not healhty at all, 'Humate - Love Stimulation' would be released in todays standards as 'Deep House' or 'Melodic Techno'.

From my view 'Trance' should be deep, trippy, spaced out.. when I think of 'Trance' im somewhere here forever:

X-Mix-1 1991 Paul van Dyk (The MFS-Trip)

If your understanding of trance is what Ferry Corsten has played throughout his career, then sure, none of this is trance. But trance doesn't only consist of hands in the air glowstick waving DJ worship anthems. Enigma State is one style of oldschool trance, but there are *many* more beyond that.

> I understand the view of the current 'Trance' state, but its not healhty at all,

It's pigeonholed itself into a corner to the point where it's pretty much completely incompatible with any other genre other than very mainstream progressive (or techno for the tech trance coming out of labels like Blacknet or Skullduggery), and it's super unhealthy IMO.
