Appreciate the soothing atmospheric sounds.
A few words after my first listen.

Obviously it's a concept, and not a random bunch of tracks. It's all interlinked.
Certain vibes are interwoven throughout many of the tracks.
Because of that, every track feels part of a story from the same book / boat.

Foaming water, making its way over curvy, rock laden surfaces of a mountainous strip.
Blooming with energetic nature.

That's kinda how the first listen felt to me.

Congrats, nice one!

I am craving for a decent trance album. It has been way too silent this year and I really hopes this delivers. I am willing to reward the effort and the good cause even if the album would not be the jackpot.

Courtesy from Matt Seagrave a.k.a. Everlight.
Slightly OT, but I didn't know Everlight's name and that he would be the same person who made this magnificent album.

This is some proper trance to chill out to
47 Tucanea sounds like something PvD would have played in 2003
Russkoye Leto with the percs was unexpected, love the chill out feeling in this
Himelfjoer feels like it belongs in those "top trance synths" videos on Youtube from the late 2000s
ooo OAHU is an immediate favorite, pure progressive trance goodness
Wetterljocht is also great progressive trance with a hint of goa.

These are sounds that haven't been done (well) in almost two decades, likely not since 2005. It's the right kind of energy that trance represents, and that drew pretty much all of us into the genre in the first place.

thanks for the song. I would like to write a lot, but the topic you played is difficult for me. I'm sure your opening is great, this is how you can start any trance track. as it is difficult for me in the chill prog genre. the sounds are of the highest class. here you can feel some traces of grandfather jean michel jarre, this whole cosmic atmosphere. but nice waiting for your 4X4

Do you have more dates or need to buy?

Might be my current mood or whatever but I just didnt find the first 3 (after the intro track) tracks interesting at all. The kick and bass on them are not to my liking at all. They sound dry/compressed and somewhat lifeless. The two tracks after the intro track sounds a bit too much like tracks you released around 2010 on unearthed label and the saw arp melody on the 4th track im not so sure about. Might just be me who are a bit tired of that sound, who knows.

Although, the second half is where this album shines more. I also like the track that TRANCEBLASTER mentioned.

Good job overall :)

The beginning of Himelfjoer has some Banco de Gaia vibes at the beginning. But later on, turns into a proper trancer, I think it might become a favourite of many people.

OAHU is brilliant. Has turn-of-the-millenium vibes all over it. It's faultless. Might be my favourite actually. Wetterljocht would've taken the cake, but IMO it takes time to get going. But once it does, it is gorgeous. The chords are absolutely stunning. WE WANT CHORDS! CHORDS ARE GOOD.

Overall, the album is phenomenal, I never doubted you were a talented producer. The mixture of styles is great, all of the tracks feel rich (no filler), not just melodically, but full of ideas as well. There's no bad track here to be honest, each one I like less or more, but I like them all!

Feels so great to release it on TF.R.

What I think could be an improvement point for Paracosm part 2, titled Synesthesia, released exclusively on TF.R :)sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:) are some finishing arrangement touches. Playing with panning, chorus, filter, flanger etc. effects, to make the longer chunks of the structure a bit more entertaining and playful. Additionally, some of the transitions, especially when you're introducing or removing elements, are slightly noticeable, and I think it would do good to make these a little more seamless.

Just had a listen to this whilst pottering around in the kitchen, and it's bloody great!

Russkoye Leto, Wetterljohcht & Lanaikea (Paracosms Mix) the stand-outs for me.

Loving the atmospheric vibe to all of the tracks, the whole album feels cohesive from start to finish as a singular piece.
Great work all involved!

Had a few physical issues lately and had a tooth extraction yesterday. - Didn’t ( properly) realise yesterday was the 1st November!!!!!

Just came on TF and omg its time. Time for…..Paracosm. I have it playing as i write this. Im on track 3. Absolutely love the first 2 tracks. Very early into calabi yao i started thinking of ASMR. Such clear ear tingly beautiful sounds.
Eaudaimonia is lovely.
Just on 47 Tucanea. Has such a proper entrancing vibe. Love it.
Il write more about the other tracks another time, but thus far. Top marks. Well done all involved especially @jetflag 🫶

update… have to say something about track 4. Russkoye Letto. Just listening to it now.
My reaction is - Oh Fuck

update… im on track 6 now. Himelfjoer.
ive had a synesthesia gasm

Ok im on track 8 now. Wetterljocht. @jetflag . How the hell did you make that sound? Im sure you know the one i mean.

- spooky comment warning… listening to wetterljocht i have an image of being connected to this machine feeding me nutrient's and protein for breakfast. - im listening to Paracosm in bed…my girlfriend has literally just woken up and murmured to me ( as she frequently does) she had a dream about Wheatabix! ( i think she also said pancakes). Both breakfast foods.

Interesting.

ok. Its complete. Listened to it all.
I was planning at some point in saying something silly. Something like. I wish you hadn’t made this album @jetflag because its exactly the kind of album i dream and aspire to making myself one day. But Paracosm is too good a piece of mind craft to be silly.

Suffice to say. I can’t remember the last time my synesthesia has been so welcomely active.

I loved it
