I never actually questioned how he rose all of the sudden, touring, making collaborations with big artists. I just assumed he made some other kind of music.

Not uncommon to be unknown and make connections and than use them to rebrand and rise quickly, but at his age does seem sus.

BTW is it possible he himself was a ghost producers before, that will explain how we never heard about him...

And then when 50, when trance is at an alltime low (popularity wise)… he desires stardom after all?
According to his beatport bio it seems like he enjoyed trance since the 90s (oakenfold, PvD, armin, etc) when we was still in college. I imagine DJing is something he always wanted to do, but he waited until retirement/near-retirement.

BiXX is a DJ, Trance Music Producer, Mentor and American Entrepreneur whose current home is in Mobile, Alabama USA. His first exposure to dance music was mixing funk music at college parties at Auburn University in Alabama. It was at one of the most progressive and glitzy dance clubs in the world, the Limelight in Atlanta, Georgia, that BiXX rst heard European dance music. He fell in love with the pulsating 135 and higher beats per minute sounds. Fast forward to the early days of Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and Armin van Buuren where BiXX discovered Trance music. His passion for trance music grew while listening to trance to increase energy levels during his daily gym workouts. Where passion, persistence and life’s most beautiful moments meet is exactly where you will nd BiXX sharing his music, experiences, and philosophies to make the world a better place.

From his perspective, he probably thinks he is achieving his dream (and he is), but chances are he's going about it the completely wrong and unethical way.
I don't know. If I liked trance since my teenage/college years but couldn't do anything about it until after I was 50 due to other life priorities, I'd probably hop on the fast track to "stardom" even if that meant hiring ghost producers. I probably wouldn't even do it for the sake of fame, but instead to play along my idols.

To be fair, hes going to be making quite a loss in money terms - for the amount he spends on ghost producers - probably thousands - track sales will be nowhere near that. Unless he gets big paying gigs - in front of actual humans. He might do it for the love of Trance music, but hes still doing the totally wrong way,and its really fake and not genuine at all.

Id arrange an interview and try and ask 'clever' questions, see what his background is haha.

I would imagine gets not concerned about money or profits, but I agree in that he's going about it the wrong way. He probably doesn't have enough musical chops to create good melodies, and he likely hasn't been around other trance producers to guide him to good production.
For what it's worth, this is essentially a retiree from a coastal US town isolated from the rest of the trance scene trying to break into trance with work that isn't his

To be fair if I had the money I wouldn't of hesitated to do the same.

Although I still have a chance to cowrite a song with ATB in the future, I am sure he will not turn his biggest fan. The Linkin Park/ Chester train unfortunately sailed away a long time ago, but in the last 3 years Mike Shinoda proved himself as a great artist, even giving livestreams teaching music production and making songs live, also his personality really shined on, so I definitely want to approach him some day too.

Somehow I get the idea he is it not doing it for money or even fame. Than again I might be wrong, but he does seems like a nice person from some interactions with him on his page. I see he seems to enjoy djing a lot. Another dj that saw him live was very impressed with his set and if you don't know djs are hardest fans to please 😃

I am surprised no one mentioned Amend Dark/Survey/Amend Recordings/Loyalty Survey/Amendaction/Survey Aggressive/Dark Survey - one of the worst generic trance labels (on beatport), way worst than the ones that you mentioned. Nu:Chain Music actually have some decent songs from time to time even if most them are a bit generic.

I believe there is only one person behind the label. Now don't get me wrong he has some good ideas and his music is likeable, but this is the most productive trance label spamming vey generic music.

Wow... this Loyalty Survey label was terrible

Check the whole EP. Different names, different styles, different track titles, but same melody 😵

I think with some help from a second producer this guy might actually produce some really good music. He just really seems stuck in a few melodies/things he knows how to produce and it's something I see with a lot of artists, not being able to come out of your comfort zone. If anything at least he writes all his stuff.

That melody is totally out of any key. It’s aweful.

What I hate is that those tracks get re-re-released every once in a while. That ‘Sea’ track is there dozens of times. In an attempt to get more attention. It’s basically spam.

According to his beatport bio

Btw this is also something cool to quote.

These stories... They make me punch my head against the wall. Everyone makes small stories HUGE or makes them up entirely. They don't make sense.

I mean... so many deejays played for an opening hour in a sideroom for zero people. And in the main room on peaktime a regular known name played. Those wannabe stars will always put in their bio: "Played alongside international superstar deejays like Richard Durand!"

Actually, it could have been a totally different date. Who cares, just put in your bio. It looks fancy.

So I got those e-mails about Armin's AAA tokens. They cost 200 dollar, and there are 2500 "tokens" available.

You can pay with crypto, but if you don't have that, you can pay with creditcard and then you will get a crypto wallet so you can get the Armin token.

People with a token can access an Armin discord channel, get early previews, get very cheap merchendise, visit the ASOT studio, meet-ups with the community, and.... meditation sessions. Whatever that means.

What the fuck is this nonsense. You'd think this is weird spam, but this is 'something' real.

How can one of the most regarded producers here on this forum struggle to find gigs and generic uplifting guys tour the world?

This happened with Airwave man. Quite frankly, the promoters don't want to book DB probably because his music is very sad and dark too. Sadly, it's the current fad at the moment where people also want to hear dry, and boring house music. I told Michael & levan this too but they told me this is the current fad what the market wants to hear. Which fool is determining this trend?

Sadly people want to hear the same track over and over.

The wrong drugs are popular.
Everyone is on Ket these days, so they need the happy tunes to counteract it.

Get ecstasy and mdma back in popularity again and everyone will be back at the sad tunes 😂
