Pretty much the title. I was going to do 100-150 songs like I do every year since I started djing, but decided at the very last moment to include every song that I thought stood out from what I played last year.

This compilation actually answered a question I asked here 2 years ago - Is progressive trance dying? Back then - yes it was taking it's last breath, 2022 hell, no progressive returned with a bang.

I broke the compilations into sections, but there was a lot of songs that could easily be in another section, for example part 5/6 have a lot of old-school melodic progressive trance. A lot of the techy works too can easily have been in the old school selection. Pretty much I wanted to make every mix interesting, so I kind of spread around some songs that fit...

This is pretty much how I spilt the compilation:

1. Progressive Selection
1.1 Progressive House
1.2 Melodic Progressive
1.3 Progressive Trance
1.4 Progressive Breaks
2. Techy Works Selection
3. Uplifting Selection
4. Old school Selection

You can find a complete playlist in Mixcloud as a comment and on SoundCloud as part of the description under each mix. You can also see the complete numbered playlist here in TF.

Since the compilation is quite extensive (700+ songs) I am going to record and upload an episode everyday in January. I hope you enjoy the most extensive playlist for 2022 trance and progressive.

A pretty mega undertaking, will take the rest of the year to get through it all :ROFLMAO:
Yeah, I decided to take one day of the week off since this would be about 30 2 hour mixes by my estimate :)

Only style I missed is psy, but psy trance is still huge and I would've never be able to finish a whole year worth of releases, probably at least 200-300 more songs.

I actually started tagging artists from the mixes and I already interacted with a lot of my favourite artists last year, which is a neat little bonus.

Great year for progressive might I add since I know you are into progressive too. Enhanced absolutely killed it last year unlike Anjunabeats, and finally transformed into a proper prog trance label.

I was also very pleasantly surprised by:
  • Emergent Shores/Emergent Cities
  • Soluna Music
  • Progressive Vibes Music
  • FSOE Argento - amazing start for their first year

Also these guys kept a good pace too:
  • Alter Ego Progressive
  • Elliptical Sun Recordings
  • Yeiskomp Records
  • Euphonic
  • Suanda/Suanda Progressive
