I mean brand new album from Aly & Fila, which will be released in 2021. FSOE 650 Compilation will be available this autumn, tracklist and artwork are coming soon. I agree about Anthem, it is very unusual that Aly & Fila not take part in it. But I want to say, anthem is pretty good.

As for the album from Aly & Fila, I felt that their albums will be released every 2 years. Because when the round FSOE episode is finalized, for example 700, the anthem is made of them. These are the times ;) And this song Somebody Loves You is a foretaste of what awaits us in 2021.
As for the FSOE compilation - The question is who can be responsible for the part this year. I can bet that there will be a repeat from 2018. CD 1 is someone from Progressive and CD 2 is a CD from Aly & Fila.

G-bomb stuff. Don't confuse this with steroids, I think the production, judging by the live mix, is not that bad, but it's generic as hell. The vocals, the melody, the beats, the basslines. Done before, done better.

Best vocals for absolutely ages - not sure what people are listened to here, unless they are tone deaf. Yes its an aly & Fila production from over 10 years ago,but great melody, emotional - a saving grace in this year of all years.

I don't know about the vocals, they don't seem to fit, kinda stand out too much. At this point in time I'd have to say that Plumb is one of the worst vocalists and lyricists in this scene that I've listened to.

For vocal trance tracks, I prefer Arctic Moon's Like The Sun - also from this year. The vocals are better, the lyrics aren't predictable, the production is more banging and more energetic, the melody is sort of unique/inventive. Sunny Lax's Close To Me as well. A much more fun track. Sam Mitcham's Amarula has great vocals, and the track is just on another level in every way. RNX's (Robert Nickson) Lonely Shore (the album mix) is also just a much more wonderful track overall. Sied van Riel's Hold Me Close is also a much better track.

There were much more better vocal trance tracks though in the past few years, I could dig them up if necessary. The aforementioned ones are just the few I could remember.

I just don't respond to it at all. Maybe 7 years ago I would, but I guess I've just heard a hundred tracks like this that it doesn't surprise me anymore. It's like everything you expect to hear when you hear "vocal uplifting trance". It sounds like if you took all vocal uplifting trance tracks and had an average of them all, you would end up with this. The pattern of the melody is what you would find in a "how to make trance" YouTube tutorial.

Look, don't get me wrong, this is still a nice production and surely ticks boxes for a lot of listeners, but it's been heard before, the style has been overdone and it lacks any creativity at all.

And what's with the jackhammer effects at the end of the video? Good way to kill any sort of flow whatsoever.

Cos it was the last track of the set hehe.

For me,its the best lyrics and vocals for a few years - maybe thats just my taste, but theres a reason it got to Beatport number 1 (of any genre).

I dont think it really mattered who remixed this as the vocals are so strong - as long as the melody is decent - i probably wouldve wanted Ferry to make the version as it probably wants something more softer.

The vocals sound very cheese/cliche/emo... its like teenage girl music. Lyrics are very cringe haha, although I admit the 'somebody loves you' hook is pretty catchy. You could honestly replace the Trance background with any sort of teenage pop music of today and it would be perfect fit. The Trance production is generic af too and touch too unicorn. Haha sorry, it's a big no from me.

Yeah I get it but still...why?

I get the universal appeal of this, I really do. That doesn't change my opinion of it at all. I've been listening to a lot of different music for the past few years, maybe I'm just tired of the same-old.
